Bit strange that you consider them a 'weak' team then? The other 'weak' team that we beat midweek had a 4-2 victory over Preston yesterday...Are they a weak team too?
They had three red cards and a number of injuries. So yes when we played them they were weak. I consider them a weak team based on the quality of their squad and the upheaval with their manager leaving. I think people are lurching from one extreme to another and need to put the results in perspective. Going into the two fixtures we would have seen both games as more than winnable and we did win them.
I assume Acun was not at the Blackpool and yesterday's game as the plane í still in USA, is that Yes, I noticed that they seem to know when to press and when to not.
Glynn Hodges had his one good game for us, he was virtually unplayable. Seem to remember we were 4-1 down at one stage? then fought back because Hodges suddenly decided to play, and the away end, which was always a treat at the old Millmoor echoed to the chants of 'We only want one more' . Remember it well, mainly because I bumped my car against a concrete parking bollard before the game.
Completely agree On home form, Rotherham are the 6th. And we didn't just beat them, we completely spanked them. Any notion that it's not incredibly impressive, is just daft.
And Wigan were undefeated away from home when we beat them. We then lost our next two and continued to look poor. I never said it wasn't a good performance, just that it needs putting in context and not having everyone giddily appointing Dawson manager for life.
That's not true, in spells against Birmingham and Hudds we played well, we just kept having things go against us at crucial times. But the performances were improving and it was clear that if we kept performing then the results would come and they have.
Yes they were improving, but the second half against both Hudd and Birmingham was abject after good first halves. My point was that the win against Wigan was just as good as the Rotherham one.
I don't think we played that well against Huddersfield. We had the ball in the first half against a team playing very poorly but did nothing with it. We've upped the pace and energy since then. The team selections have helped too, as much as it may not please some of the Turkish fans. A good mix of work rate and technical ability is what we needed. Dawson has done well considering he isn't in a permanent position and won't have that authority. But it seems the players give him some respect and have bought into his team changes.
You are definately a glass half full type fella. Personally I thought we was ****ing ****e in those two games.
For me no chance should Daws get the job, done a steady job with us but please can we have a proper manager in. Shota was an absolute bum and we all know with this squad we should be winning far more than we lose. If Dawson is getting a tune out of these lads then an actual good manager with pedigree will have them flying.
