Apparently Rotherham aren’t doing a pitch inspection because they’re confident it’ll be playable. Always thought the referee had final say on that? The wetter that pitch, the harder it’ll be for us to play our style of football. Fair play to any Town fan travelling tonight.
It will be tough for sure. Bit of a dog fight. Just hope there arent too many injuries. I am off to the Swiss Alps for this one!
According to Town TV it's audio only -domestic and international- presumably because it's on Sky,unless you know different 'gaffer? It's a question of whether I venture out to my local in this miserable weather or stump up for a day pass with Sky. A bit galling when we've already shelled out for an international sub and it's getting worse with $ky snaffling up more of our fixtures. Edit: Reading the Town TV website smallprint it should be available in 'Unsold territories' including Switzerland......see you there!!
Fan safety has to be the priority, pity the decision couldn't have been made earlier for those trying to travel but it's one of those situations where they're damned if they do and they're damned if they don't!
And yet, as at 18.30 nothing on Town TV site, still selling tickets etc, what a cheek! Feel very sorry for all those travelling. Shelled out pounds already. Should have been called 1st thing today - we all saw the forecast! And Iost a tenner!
Miserable outcome for everyone, I presume the Team coach arrived. What we now know is the River Don flooded, in spite of recent flood defenses, causing serious road issues. This was predictable as the EA or NRA who manage rivers, give flood warnings. Locals knew about it. The RFC morning statement saying the pitch is playable falsely led hundreds of Townies to travel. It would have been more responsible if they had added a caution about the flood risks around the stadium too. Presumably the EFL were consulted. And of course, as Hampy commented, Sky tv put pressure on to play. They dont give a f...k about player or fan safety. I can imagine the angry words from ITFC! Just hope everyone got back safely after their pint in the pub on arrival.
Williams has a virus. If he’s not ready by Tuesday, I would rather see Donacien over Clarke. Luongo has also played a lot of games so might be time for Taylor. Harness pushing for a start after today and other than that, it’s who plays the 1st hour as striker
Good calls Royston, I would drop Burgess, way off his usual standard today. Perhaps he can go up front!
1-3 win, Harness on the scoresheet again. Have to admire KM 's player management, Broadie, Hirst & Chappers have gone awol temporary after such high standards for 3 months.
Bit nervous about this one, and hopefully we're not going through a rough patch after the last couple of results. I'm backing us in a nervy 1-0 away win.
I also don't think we'll get a win tomorrow, and think we'll go through a sticky patch now. 2-1 Rotherham win
