Agree, I wrote Charlton off as a bad day at the office, not sure what yesterday was... Deja vu

I told you lot last season about the useless Bailey Wright.
Junior brought him to replace Aiden Flint and made him our club captain ffs. He had to play BW at RB to save his ownblushes.
As for Junior 'loving your club' it's just something he says. He doesn't love Sunderland, he loves whoever is daft enough to employ him. We had to endure this exact bs for 4 years.
The cracks are showing early I actually posted on here he'd be OK till Christmas. Then watch out.
His tirade to the players at full time yesterday will further undermine his standing with them.
They're working out for themselves - Johnson is fake and woke all in one.

    Just a couple of questions.

Where has he said he loves Sunderland?

Do you think it's witty to keep calling him Junior?

I'm not sure what he's done to make Redprintt think he's 'woke' and has he ever said he loves the club?

Not to my knowledge but why wouldn't he ...

... it's a nice club with big support and a lot of potential.

How many managers hate the club they're at anyway.

Football clubs are like girlfriends, you love the one you're currently with <laugh>

Not as far as I know. I'm guessing in this woke means that he's a modern manager and all the jargon that comes with it.

The bloke's only 40, wasn't long ago he was still playing. Plenty of time to iron out any faults.

“I love it, it’s a brilliant club”. The “love it” bit was about sharing the highs with the fans.

A football man, all his life, who loves winning games and celebrating with the supporters ...

... sounds like a weird concept to me.

DONT PANIC that’s the last thing we need , we need to get to the root cause of where things are going wrong . I would suggest one of the main problems is that the full backs are not being adequately supported during games allowing teams to put in lots of crosses at will and leading to goals being conceded . The full backs particularly Winchester are tending to be guilty of being over ambitious in their attacking and leaving unacceptable gaps for the opposition to exploit , we need to ensure that whilst they are on the attack we have players dropping back to provide cover and not giving the space that we are guilty of giving teams on occasions . Defending our goal starts from the front and is the full teams responsibility . I could not come on the forum without commenting on the sending off of Aiden McGeady who was totally irresponsible for his conduct in getting a second yellow card and subsequent red card - he deserved it and let himself , team mates , and the club down really badly . He deserves to be punished and I would therefore take the captaincy away from him as a punishment and warning to the rest of the squad that unacceptable conduct will not be tolerated particularly by established players .

I think in terms of some extra physicality in midfield being useful to us in some games I think we are saying the same thing. My opinion is that if we're weak in central midfield, a true 442 is the wrong formation to solve that because it means that 2 players are having to do the work that is currently done by 3. I think that's where we differ.

Sadly won’t be able to watch Tuesday as I’ll be at the empire watching an ELO tribute act. Fingers crossed we can get a decent result

Is it The E.L.O. Experience, Marcus ?

If so, Mrs. A. and I saw them at The Empire a few years ago (3 I think) when E.L.O. were in Glasgae (we couldn't get to that) and they were fantastic :emoticon-0148-yes:

I actually got goosebumps a few times during the show, reminiscing about the old days and, surprisingly, knowing all (most) of the words . . . . E.L.O. were one of my favourites and I always thought that they were under-rated (as were The Eagles) and I'll be amazed if you don't have a fantastic night :emoticon-0105-wink:

I love the football Johnson plays when things go his way but unfortunately things don’t go his way all the time and now that’s 2 games in a row teams have found us out and he’s had 0 response. He speaks far to good of a game to be getting beat 4-0 and 5-1 in league 1 it’s embarrassing. I don’t think he will leave Sunderland with us out of league 1. Personally, off past experiences I’d rather we act quick and be brutal as oppose to clinging onto hope. I would like to see us splash out on someone who isn’t necessarily as pretty but will get you up. A wilder type. I hope Johnson proves me wrong but he’s so plan a and no plan b it’s painful at times.

We won't go with someone like Chris Wilder. The way the background set up is being established, we'll go for a particular type and whoever comes in next will be similar to Johnson.
I disagree that he hasn't got a Plan B. He changed things up for QPR and played without a Ten, with Evans, O'Nien, and Neil in the centre to make us more solid in the middle. That's what he should have done against Rotherham. We lost yesterday because he ignored Rotherham's strengths and picked a side that was too attacking for the circumstances.

That team might've been right for Sheff Wed, not Rotherham.

Yesterday should've been everyone back except Stewart for the entire first half then see how things were going.

    We should've played RafaBall imo.

I agree, he does change things, it doesn't always work but that's football.

I didn't know it was Evans, O'Nien and Neil against QPR. That's what I've been suggesting as a way to shore things up. Seems like it might not be a bad idea.
