On the subject of Grigg. I was watching the access all areas and in the warm up they were doing finishing practice and his was best of any. He took the touch to find the far corner but reversed it into the other. It looked a quality natural finish. Clearly he is nowhere near the player we need and I doubt he can play the sort of game we want but just a sign the lad can obviously finish. I suspect it is best he moves on for all parties, but if he stays maybe he can add something from the bench when we are creating chances. I could well imagine Embleton or Pritchard playing through balls he would relish. I suppose there is positive thinking and there is this nonsense I have just posted <laugh>

hardly nonsense marra, the lad is a goal scorer in this league and let's be honest, our 'style' over the past 3 seasons has been side to side, back to keeper...hoof kind of play where we spent a lot of time on the back foot...the team at present is looking to play and move forward a lot faster and that might well suit him.

would actually like to see him and pritchard get a run out on tuesday as i feel pritchard will be a 'door opener' for us.

If his work rate off the ball is up to his usual half arsed standard do we stick with him, personal i would prefer to play Hawkes as the future and he deserves one, as far as Grigg is concerned mate, i think his chance to shine for us has well gone
Wont disagree with you mate. His work rate has been garbage. Just wondering out loud if he could chip in with 10 or so from the bench. As for Hawkes I think he is more of a left sided player, or even a 10, not a striker but I might be wrong. Certainly dont want his progress blocked like you say, but I was hoping he may be back up to Aiden on the left.

always like your posts mate, you talk a lot of sense, with Grigg for me that boat has gone, he has frustrated enough of us for a long time, im very happy with the new set up obviously someone has their finger on the pulse as far as fans feelings go, are they reading forums?. Also they are trying hard to fill the gaps without having their pants pulled down, This is making some fans testy but needs must .We have been a pushover as a club far too long and this change is like a breath of fresh air.

It’s never going to work out for him here. If he stays I can guarantee he won’t have any more than 5 league goals this season. Bookmark this.

Given the accuracy of your predictions Wolfy, I'm away to stick a tenner on him being our top scorer.

Good finisher no doubt, but I don't want to see him back ever, his attitude cost us dearly and like JR is best forgotten imo.
