I agree it's a great deal for you but if he finishes top scorer again and fires us back up to the Premiership there won't be a single fan who lamented this signing. We needed the player and we got him. It's also a great signal of intent from our Chairman. Not sure how you guys feel about your chairman stating that "it's not about price it's about principle, McCormack will not be leaving" and then letting him go. I guess it was about price in the end?
From a previous quote of how much are you paying him ? ? about 30k pw, and when you consider Hangaland, The metronome, & Ruiz if they depart makes a wage saving of about 60/70k pw next season could look good.
Don't get me wrong, he will score goals for you lot, if he has a good season he will get you 20 goals, however he has a lot of average seasons bagging 10-15 max. So long as he doesnt score against us im happy both of team got what they wanted then
Yeah, he's done all right over the last three seasons Cookie - 13/14: 28 goals, 9 assists 12/13: 5 goals, 12 assists (from wing) 11/12: 18 goals, 6 assists
11m is a shed load of money though. What is it with Fulham and expensive strikers? I hope Ross changes the history books.
Lots of places reporting it as £7m with add-ons. Like all these deals, I suspect we'll never really know.
I see your 11 million pound Scottish alcoh, child abandoning greedy, unfit twat still hasn't scored.........
Waste of £11m... Wonder what they were thinking of! Is that what you expect to read? We have slightly more patience and brains not to jump from the first game!
From yesterdays Ipswich Program a quote from McCormack "Having spoken to the manager, very quickly I realised that this club was for me. From that first discussion I felt wanted." Felix Magath after the game "He has to improve his fitness and I don't know how long that will take," said Magath. "Ross came to us with a lack of fitness and not at the beginning of pre-season. He is not at the same level as the rest of the players. "I wanted him to be fit when we signed him but at the moment he is not in the right shape. When he does, he will be the perfect striker for us." Feel the Love....
Posts like this only set you up for a fall, he could score a hat-trick next week or a barrel load of goals in the coming weeks and then you just look a twat, an even bigger one that you already do. Here's hoping
It wouldn't be the first time that I've made myself look like a twat, I get a sense you fulham fans have no sense of humour. You could well be right and he bags loads of goals, he'll probably score against us in December(that wouldn't be hard at the moment)...
He looked a lot better yesterday than he did last week. As he gets up to full fitness I think he's going to do just fine.
You do realise mccormack has been a fat **** his whole career don't you? His fitness suffers around xmas as he likes his ale Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
