How many senior Everton players who were born in Liverpool and are Everton fans havemade the move? Barmby was from Hull. Hes the most recent one and its completely different.
Gotta laugh at how stressed out this is getting. It's a bank holiday weekend fellas grab a beer and come and join me. Strange things happen in footy, Barkley will sign in a swap deal with Suarez who will then do a Torres and become complete ****e! Barkley will then do a deed poll change to become Ross Gerrard and we'll all sing songs about him and find photos of him when he was 12 in a Liverpool kit.

good post treble luv, i may go in the garden in a bit myself not to relax though do some gardening and may have a beer or few.
I'm sure if Everton could take that next step, then he could well stay. Money as per usual could be the stumbling block, as to keep the best players, you've got to pay the going rate, which ourselves, City and Chelsea will pay. There aren't many players, if any, that will accept 50k a week less than someone else is prepared to pay them, through loyalty
No clue, I don't get paid to trawl through stats and records. You're looking at the likes of Campbell and Cole in modern football for local lads/fans and moving to a direct rival, but you can't discount players who move to rival clubs despite not being brought up there; Ferdinand from Leeds to United, Cole from Leeds to United, Gallas from Chelsea to Arsenal to Spuds, obviously Barmby who's been mentioned here already. I can't give numbers, but it has happened - no matter how uncommon. Because of that, no one can categorically state it will 'never' happen. It has and it could. So unless the divine Tobes or even yourself personally knows Barkley, sorry, but you're just guessing - no matter how likely your guesses are (and I happen to believe he wouldn't come also). I just dislike the 'matter of fact' tone.
Theres quite a difference between playing for a club and moving to a rival and it being your club ( at fan level ) and leaving for a direct rival.
There's a difference, yeah, but you still don't half get lambasted and hurled with abuse daily which isn't easy for either the play or their family.
If Van Gaal or Mourinho don't fancy him this summer (which could be very well the case), then I'd have a go at him. He provides something that Hendo/Allen/Lucas/Gerrard don't - he can actually run with a ball forward. We task Coutinho and Sterling with that job, but don't have somebody doing that from out of the CM. We've been mentioning Kroos and Bender - but they'd be costing similar amounts without PL experience.
Outstanding talent, but a b/s through and through. If a bidding war started for him we couldn't compete with City, United and Chelsea and the other FFS-dodgers abroad.
Man Utd are a disaster in need of massive rebuild. A significant step down from Everton at the moment. Chelsea can offer money but horrible horrible football. His best chance of playing attacking football with them would be to go out on loan. Everton have shown that they are nowhere near our level and the rivalry has been tempered by the Justice campaign. City have proven time and time again young English talent just sits on their bench. I think we have a decent chance of getting Barkley. Start with some interest this season and if no sensible deal can be made then get him cheap next summer as he enters the last year of his contract
That's assuming either Barkley or his agent are smart. The amount of talent wasted by sitting on City's or Chelsea's bench is frightening and just shows how stupid the overwhelming majority of people involved in football are. Either that or they're just blinded by money...
I don't think Barkley will move for at least another year as he wants to play for Everton. Depending on how well they do in both EL and PL and how much ambition the boy himself has, then it could be another couple of seasons, but if he's from the same mould as Baines then he won't move at all. What a waste of talent that's been.
