The difference being Rooney is a bit of a twat and will happily move to anyone for the right price, Barkley seems a nice lad and quite grounded, we all know though that once the carrot has been dangled that may all change.

Utd might be in the Europa League by then, I'm sure that would clinch the deal.

Why would Barkley leave the manager who showed faith in him to play in reserves for the manager who didn't and repeatedly sent him out on loan?

  8. As the commentator said yesterday, he's a 7/10 & 8/10 player. You very rarely get a 5/10, 6/10, 9/10 or 10/10 from him. He is Mr Consistent.

Mine's never changed, regardless of what Sweats thinks I might have said.

I always thought, and still do, that he was a steady enough player in the centre of the park for City. Their Carrick if you like.
Everyone thinks he's gash but he just got on with it. I'd say Carrick is the better of the two but there's no doubt he was integral to City winning the league, can't be overlooked.

    Yeah, must have been.

I've never claimed he sets the pluse racing but I've also never claimed him to be a cart horse.

Fellaini is, however, a complete and utter cart horse if we're looking for a cart horse.

    No, Moyes didn't trust him

He spent last season at Sheff Weds, sat on the bench at Leeds & then warming his arse on our bench....

Martinez came in & immediately put him in the starting line up. Within weeks he's in the England squad.

You lot can **** off, the lad won't make the same mistake that Rooney did.

haha, is it a pre-requisite of being an Arsenal fan, that you have to be totally clueless about the game?

Have you actually seen the lad play? He's an incredible prospect who's not even 20 yet & has all the attributes needed to become a world class midfield player.
