Yep. Rosenior mentioned after Ipswich that both he and Kieran McKenna changed things three or four times each in the second half. Like you say, a lot of it will be things we can't perceive. I know it's a bit of a cliché, but I do think that things like Football Manager have made fans think we know more about the tactical side of the game than we really do. People think that if a sub isn't made or an obvious formation change made then the manager is doing nothing, but there'll be loads more to it than that.
The reason Potter was so highly regarded was his ability to do it multiple times a game. It’s probably the reason he failed at Chelsea too given he had so many players to teach it too
Nice one Liam...Class words, from a classy fellow. Good luck in everything you do and wishing you every success for the future.
Really is a classy guy isn't he. He must've been absolutely gutted last week, but it seems like he's deliberately waited a bit for his disappointment to sink in and the emotion to settle a bit, and then spoken only in glowing, positive terms.
He’s really classy. I suspect he’s one of these people that tries to be positive rather than complain. It wouldn’t surprise me if he really does think his words through very carefully before he says anything. A lot in football could learn from that.
Asked AI to come up with a song about the sacking of Liam Rosenior and the Owner wanting more exciting football. https://suno.com/song/93254423-9bd8-45d3-a627-841b4d3322a5
So you're accepting it takes time to teach a new style and integrate new players into a cohesive unit and start meeting potential? Interesting...
