Same. All the City fans I’ve spoken to in real life (and it’s a fair few) talked about how this was the most enjoyable season for years. Shows how unreliable our own bubbles are.
Well ..... after the Allam era, and then the shambles that unfortunately was Shota ... the bar had been set pretty low!!
Well yes. But I guess that’s part of the argument isn’t it? Steady progress can be enjoyable. I’m not going to argue with anyone if they didn’t enjoy it last season - but at the same time - we were moving forwards. This argument has been done to death and I don’t really see anyone changing their mind. Either you were bored and/or frustrated with the progress or you were content with how things were going and looking to the future.
Was talking this weekend to a selection of the group I sit with every match home and away, they were mildly angry about Rosenior’s departure (and that’s nothing to do with where his Grandmother came from) and actively concerned that we could go backwards with Walter. Of course we were frustrated at times last season, but the progress and the plusses were obvious to all that wish to see them.
I must live in an echo chamber then as the majority of city fans I know (none of which are on this forum), whilst some were shocked by the timing, all agreed with the reasoning behind LR's dismissal.
Well I asked my imaginary friends who sit around me and they didn't have a clue what I was talking about.
last season's home results won 8 - drawn 9 - lost 6 awful really - if we set out and set up to defend and retain possession then we shouldn't be surprised if our home results suffer accordingly
Every time we've been promoted we've had a handful of Slater types who people said weren't good enough to be in a team that wins promotion. We never learn though.
No chance of Acun letting Allsop go. He thinks a lot about him, he's one of the family. Who else can he use as a fall guy if he leaves? I can't help but snigger at the thought of it happening though. LR 1/4 to become next Sunderland boss.
22 23 home results won 9 - drawn 6 - lost 8 22 / 23 points at home 33 - 23 /24 points at home 33 - absolutely no improvement whatsoever - clearly Rosie learnt absolutely nothing and clearly squandered a massive opportunity - yes. part of the results were down to Shota but 3 of the home wins were under him - Rosie has only managed to achieve 14 home wins out of 40 games - just how bad is that
They must have stayed at home for the feast of football that was Hull City v Doncaster Rovers. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily.
