I think that was the problem he wanted to come across as highly intelligent
He’s not
He’s got a great football background
But instead of keeping it simple he exuded an air of a uni lecturer
Or a cross between Brent and Will of inbetweeners
Certainly didn't help himself and made a hard job harder. Crazy how badly the club have been managed financially.

Personally think that he will learn from this and come back stronger and be back in PL management in a few seasons. He's a good manager, just not good enough for Chelsea yet.

It really should be the players getting sacked, they should be ashamed of their lack of effort.

Can't say I'm surprised, but I am disappointed. City links aside, another young English manager has been thrown on the PL scrapheap after a run of bad results, and we wonder why we have to look to foreign coaches if we want England to be competitive
Plenty of young foreign managers get dumped on the same scrapheap, would Chelsea consider Southgate though?
