I would like to think the club have done that but is Mig hedging his bets with our fairly average performance up to now. I would think he is well aware of interest from higher placed clubs who could offer him more money plus a better chance of winning trophies.
He may however be grateful that we gave him a chance and is quite happy to complete his university degree at Sunderland prior to moving on or not as the case may be.
