Not really. To my understanding... Honda pulled out, having mostly designed a car for 2009. Brawn took that team on, and with some funding from Virgin, and engines from mercedes, won the championship. Mercedes then decided to commit fully to F1, and bought out Brawn, and brought in Schumacher and Rosberg to replace the outgoing Button and Barichello. To my knowledge, they are still based in the same factory in Brackley that Honda were, and a lot of the staff are the same. Red Bull and Torro Rosso entered the sport at the same time. Red Bull took over Jaguar, keeping their personnel and base, and Toro Rosso took over Minardi. Whilst running customer cars for a couple of years, Toro Rosso maintained the Italy based factory until 2007 at least, and have since developed their own cars, most likely staff from the Minardi era carried over. The 2 teams are completely separate. Whilst Mercedes is the latest iteration of the Tyrell/BAR/Honda chain.
