I always thought that it unsettled a car, making it easier to slide?

Gif if people want to see it again:

Not sure, he's late coming back across the track for me, so when he turns in the back end might not be stable. It's a bumpy, highly cambered section of track so I could see it happening. He's steering left to catch the back end, trying to get the car to turn in and slow it down, and he just runs out of tarmac.

Same here.. Check the angle of his front wheels also he said he locked his front right...check the skids... And doesn't it look like he had more time and space to go right and keep on track than left and go off track? image.jpg

Looks dodgy at the start, then become more convincing towards the end. He does turn earlier for no reason, wiggles the wheel then the lock up then another wiggle of the wheel.

I'm convinced it's deliberate watching that a couple of times. Even the offboard shots looks deliberate, he's wriggling about all over the place on his way into the corner, there's no rear locking or instability. If he had to make that many corrections because the rear was unstable he would've gone into a proper tankslapper like Kvyat in Q1. There's no doubt in my mind he's done that deliberately.

I didn't think they'd be able to penalise him but the more I look at it the more clear cut it is. Anyone know who the driver steward is?

A British one no doubt ;)

I think it's Derreck Warwick, if I remember Brundle saying that earlier

If Rosberg admits to it... because I really can't see him doing with intent, then I don't think I can trust anyone.

Just caught up on the Quali session, my first thought was that the incident itself was a mistake..
The reversing may have been dodgy, but the incident leading up to it, IMHO wasn't

Tough to say for sure... It's possible it was done with intent. It was exactly the right time to do it if he wanted to.

Hamilton was looking fast, so shame he didn't get to finish the lap.

I'm undecided on this one.

It always seems to be Warwick. Rosberg will probably be sent to the back of the grid in that case.

If he continues start the races the way he's done lately, there's every chance Hamilton will be first into the first corner.

Certainly looks like the relationship is deteriorating quicker than I anticipated.

And if Rosberg loses tomorrow that's it for him... I predict that if he is beaten then Hamilton will beat him in every other race baring a DNF.

It could be a pivotal race, but Hamilton needs to show patience and maturity in the race tomorrow. He really needs to keep his cool.
