<laugh><laugh><laugh> Jeez Carmine I have Welsh ancestry though a grandparent and even I thought that was bloody funny.

Anyway, I'll be heartily supporting Wales, and let's face it at least they'll have a go more than our pathetic shower of shoite devaluing the England shirt!

Wales have a better national anthem than our awful dirge ...FACT!

    Cymru am byth!

Where are the half and half scarves here, nobody supports Wales as far as I can see? I hope they do well but I don't support them. I'm with Happy Tiger on this one.

As you obviously ignored my post from last night, I'll just copy and paste it here.

I thought this was about an Aussie orgy with big, sea going mammals.

I'll repeat the two Welsh jokes.

I used to go out with a Welsh lass that had 32dd's. **** knows how you pronounced it.

She finished with me because she said I was seeing another woman from Llannfairgylgyngogery schrwndroblellansyliiogogogoch.

I said, "how can you say such a thing?

They also have 3 Englishmen in their starting line up.

Bit off track but I didn't realise the Welsh rugby side had so many Englishmen playing for them as well.

North, Cuthbert, Charteris, Amos, Francis and Lydiate were all born in England and Warburton's parents are as English as you can get.

They once named a squad with 1/3 of the players born in England.

Only Australia have a higher proportion of foreign born players playing for them.

And back to football......... isn't it a shame Wales gave Chezza his chance at international football instead of us?

He's made Smalling and Cahill look poor in comparison during this tournament.

There was an England v Wales RU match in the 1980s or early 90s where the scrum halves were born in the other country as it were! Weird.

Mind you the All Blacks have put out many sides of up to 2/3rds Polynesians.

I said exactly the same about Chester after two games. Frankly, I wish he was back at City as WBA don't seem to want to utilise his skills but hey ho!

    IMO.[/QUOTE]
I thought Chester could have played for us years ago, was laughed at then and probably now despite all the evidence to the contrary with his performances for Wales. I think people hold his size against him but the irony is some of the best ever centre-halfs weren't giants

You think the Irish care for us and wish us well at football? They are a bunch of foreigners, unlike fellow Brits the Welsh. I don't wish the Welsh well at football though , something coloured by experiences in Cardiff, including returning from Cardiff after a 5-1 defeat in a bus with smashed in windows. A bus which had been parked outside the police station and when the bus driver complained was told "maybe you should have stayed at home you English bastards".

Me and you would make Smalling and Cahill look poor in comparison.

    Actually, that's not fair.

We can't take any credit for them being ****ing useless.

    I only support Hull City.

Rather Wales won this than France or Germany or whoever is left in this though.

I like the Welsh. And they should be grateful for what the English have done for them. If it wasn't for the Anglo-Saxons invading and driving the Britons so far west into modern-day Wales and Cornwall, the Welsh wouldn't have a national identity. They'd still be tribesmen calling themselves 'Parisii', 'Brigantes' and 'Iceni' if it weren't for us.

The Parisii were found in Gaul and East Yorkshire.

Explain to me which part of the 'driven west by the Anglo-Saxons' was lost on you?

Presumably the fact that there were no Parisii, Brigante or Iceni tribes around at the time of the Anglo Saxon invasions is lost on you? The Romans saw to that a few hundred years earlier.

After the Romans left those tribes established sub-Roman kingdoms. Parisii were incorporated into Deifr, Brigantes into Ebrauc and Iceni intermingled with the Angles when they landed in East Anglia. The Romans did not ethnically cleanse all of the Britons when they left.

So the Anglo Saxons didn't drive those 3 tribes you mentioned into Wales. Cheers,
