    To be fair, the bloke who started it all sent a tweet to Rooney that said:

    "Rooney ya fat whore ill smash ya head in with a pitchin wedge an bury ya with a ballast fork ya fat ugly lil nonse"
    and another that said:
    "snd ill be down tomorrow lad in me twin turbo nissan micra"

    What would you guys respond if you were on Twitter and some twat sent that to you? I think "you know where I work, why don't you come and try it" was a pretty level headed response by Rooney's standards! He didn't even swear or shag a granny or anything! :)

    I'd ignore it too, but I don't think it was intended as anything but harmelss banter from either side.

    The sad thing is that news companies have wasted time and space on reporting it.

    Rooney got banned for swearing.

    Still the only player to do so....

    Rooney v Barton is like comparing nicking a kit kat to murder. Bartons a full on idiot, every club hes played at hate him including toon fans. If thats not the case now its not long since changed. Fighting with team mates, prison etc etc etc...

    What an absolute mong! Bartons sorted his life out, he's tee total and keeps his nose out of trouble. His performances and temperamant under intense provocation this season have been exemplary, barring one minor glitch. That's why we love him. Yet you seem to turn a blind eye to Rooney continually offending, while you slate Barton for sorting his discipline out? Makes no sense.
