    Then the authorities should get tough, Lidls.
    It's a spectator sport.
    Nobody wants to watch cheats and it's clearly not sporting.

    Perhaps they should change the name to sports entertainment, like they have with wrestling?

    Exactly. Rooney's behaviour has very little to do with passion & commitment. It has everything to do with petulance, and a general proclivity to "chucking all the toys out"

    At least he's not banned.
    He has been in a Nigerian squad, but didn't play, so he's still eligible.
