Knowing the wily Taggart, this is all a ruse, and Rooney will be passed fit to play, shortly before kick-off, so as to give the team and the fans a lift.

We should let Cabaye have a few long shots in this game. Cabaye has one of the best long shot abilities in this league, and that is De Gea's weakness.

Hernandez is the real threat here, finds it so easy to drift past defenders. Ive no worries about Rooney, our defence should bully him back. Hernandez and Nani are the real threats we face.

If Nani plays the right then he won't cause the same trouble as he would against a left-footed LB. He will cut inside on his left, and that should make it easier for Raylor to position himself. Young (If he starts) will try the same against Simpson aswell, but bacon face might play Park or Nani here and put Valencia RM. Man United lack midfield creativity so i can't see their CM's giving us a hard time in that department, they do seem to be quite solid and know their jobs though.

Our team:

Krul

Simpson
Saylor
Colo
Raylor

Obertan (If Fit)
Cabaye
Tiote
Jonas

Ben Arfa
Ba

That to me, has enough, pace, skill, strength and ability to get something at OT, maybes even a win as Man United haven't looked the force they did at the beginning of the season.

Rooney will play, this is typical Ferguson. I'd ignore all noises coming out of Old Trafford. Anyway it'll depend how he is used anyway. For the last 5 games he's played central midfield making a 5. They've been very defensive, and created little for him. Last night was a bit more open but I suspect red nose will be keen to get back to being mean with a busy xmas period ahead.

Yeah, I don't take much notice of I juicy news. The BBC said Nasri would be out for several weeks with tendinitis before we played City but didn't stop him playing against us.

There's some miraculous recoveries knocking about. I put it down to the magic sponge.
