Evening everyone. Interesting discussion about Janssongate. My take on it is the same as a couple of the posters. I think Bielsa considers Jansson a disruptive influence and wanted him gone. How much slack he was given by Bielsa or the club is almost irrelevant because he went too far. Great managers don't take any crap from players. I have to trust Bielsa because I think he is an extremely good manager. I also think he can build a Pontus replacement out of someone else if he needs to. Looking forward I can't wait to see how he attacks the Championship after a full year of research. IBWT, MOT!!
By all accounts he manages from a distance, so limiting his personal involvement in any disciplinaries - you see that in all walks. Not to say he doesn't have staff closer to the players for feedback/support, who knows. I think after the Jannson scenario every player knows where he stands if he gets out of line though.
yeah bud they get a cut price transfer and a bumper pay rise.....must be hell for them i bet they can't sleep.
Spot on... The touchy feely stuff is handled by the other coaches.... and the last paragraph is why he believes he had to do what he did.
Yes, Put that way it doesn’t sound too bad. Cue stories of players p*ssed up at training and coke snorting orgies.
And rads pockets stuffed with cash from bung backs. Pity ken dodd has passed away he knew a trick or two with cash.
