Known for going on a bit (or maybe more than a bit) about some non-footballing matters, but can be forgiven for that I hope. Been stressed out at work a bit this last week or so, and perhaps been a bit spikier than usual on the news & covid threads. But I don't mean to annoy anyone unduly...
From what I can see you just put your argument forward as you see right. Always respectful of others and eloquent in your replies.
I'm glad if I'm doing OK by you chaps - and to return the compliment, you all make this forum an easy one to look after
I feel for the guy, oddly enough. He must be struggling with some difficult personal issues. I felt no such sympathy for Maddison last season. But that was based on the man's past antics I guess. I hope whatever demon Ronnie is wrestling with, he can eventually overcome it.
I agree. Hard to know the true situation. He scored one cracker and then fell over his own feet with an open goal in front of him. The missed penalty seemed to be the final straw. Was he just not good enough, or were his personal circumstances too much to overcome ? Don't think we'll ever know. At least it frees up a place and some wages.
Feel sad for the guy, but it didn't work out , and god knows whats been going on behind the scenes. Whatever, no sense whatsoever in having a player on the books who seems not to be available to play any football at all. Nice to see Cawley saying that Bowyer thought he would be a good signing, though I dare say some will continue with their Sangaard narative that the owner bought him in and dumped him on a hapless Bowyer.
What Ronnie Schwartz does now and over the next few months will tell us something about why things did not work out for him at Charlton. Not directly perhaps, but his short-medium term future activities will give some good clues.
