Nice goal but not a "wonder" goal.

I think Messi i the best in his role.

However I think Ronaldo is the better player as I think he has more to his game. Ie good in the air, sheer athletisim, pace etc.

If I was given a choice I would choose Ronaldo as he is also proven in the EPL

Total agree, and Ron's made more of an in pack at international level as well.

Nice goal but the fact that the opposition are a complete cack team whose defenders aren't even trying to stop him downgrades it a lot. And the keeper really should save it from such a small angle. C. Ronaldo is a fantastic player though, I'd take him back in a heartbeat

Don't care about Ronaldo. I see him as a great player for United who cried, dived and whinged his way out of the club in his final year. I also think that anyone who can watch a game of football and appreciate players for their ability as opposed to who they play or have played for will rank Messi ahead of Ronaldo.

The OP clearly wanted this to develop into a Messi v Ronaldo article. These articles are boring because every time the Ronaldo fan boys lose out! Of course, said fan boys can all point at how Ronaldo can single handedly carry poor teams and Messi cannot. Because, you see, United were crap when Ronaldo played for them and Real are crap now. And Portugal are sweeping all before them, because the "Great man" just keeps hoovering up the trophies for them.

PS. Messi scored a greater proportion of Barca's goals last season than Ronaldo did of Real's, and he did that without having a team instructed to give the ball to him at every available opportunity. Just saying, is all.

What the hell is an "in pack?" And no, he hasn't. Watch a bit of international football, ignore the cliches and you'll see that Ronaldo for Portugal is a little bit underwhelming. In fact, nani is their star player. You can thank me later for that one nolhman!!!! (not in a homo way) :)

In all fairness to the Galaxy, the team they had on in the 2nd half was pretty much their Reserves.

The correct answer is neither. Xavi is the best player in the world - end of debate.
