    Impressed at the World Cup. Would be a good move, strangely out of favour for some reason at Villa. I'm not sure why they are even thinking of selling him.

    Had a very very good world cup - wouldn't be surprised if someone a bit bigger came in for him. Had a great semi-final against Messi and had the balls to take the first penalty (admittedly that didn't work out so well)

    If we can get him then that's a very good bit of business.

    I think we should make it known that WE have pulled out of the Caulker deal.
    That WE won't be stuffed around by such a player and let it be a warning to any other.

    We want players who a have a real desire to test themselves with us ............... not one that wants to draw us out of a hat.

    After the World Cup he will be worth way more than 4m, can't see it happening at that price.

    At that price (or even double that) I can't understand why the new Manure top dog would not snap him up, after all they have worked together in the recent past.

    Ok so hes 29 and wed be throwing the £4m away because he will have no sell on at the end of the contract but hes a player thats worth that to get 3-4 years out of him.

    Would be very strange to get him at that price.

    He had a great World Cup and is a decent player.....but the genius was van Gaal who managed to construct a defence which was solid despite having no pace. You could not play Vlaar next to Hill, Ferdinand or Dunne in a back four against fast Prem attacks. In a back 3 maybe.

    He has done all his cruciate ligaments in the past, hopefully Ale can come back as well as he has.

    i cant see vlaar wanting to come to rangers to be perfectly honest. and thats even if villa wanted rid...which i doubt.

    I heard a couple of commentators say at the World Cup he's one if the best defenders in the world, so I think 4 million will fall way short. Would be good though.

    The papers said we put a 24h limit on the deal yesterday.

    He's just using us as a last resort. We are the fat bird kept on a string just in case a bloke can't pull a decent woman.
