Thought for a moment that this was a 'who would you prefer as manager?' thread!

Wow, Flyer's smoked you out good and proper Ubs... knocked you clean off that furry space hopper of your's ain't he?!

Very impressive and persuasive case for how to empower democracy to correct its own excesses.

I'll be sure to look out for Uber_Hoop (Local Shopkeepers and Generally ****ed Off With Modern Majoritarian Politics Party) on my next ballot paper!

So its not just me thats banned from the Chelscum site then !!

As for the voting thing..In al honesty I dont really care but i accept it will affect others all around the world..Esp here in Aus where the majority so desperately want to be American
Also Im not a citizen so I'm not allowed to vote yet. Only been here a few years.
Just caught up in the Obahma PR really !

With respect to the voting, I acknowledge all that was done in the past for me to have "the right to choose to vote" but have never voted. Personally think that the desire to be a politician, should automatically ban you from ever becoming one. Never know such a corrupt institution (except the met police) in my entire life...Its the same over here too......I suppose they are all crims though !!! (joking boys)

Not at all, Brix... but I'm pleased that you remember the spacehopper (the image of which tickled me at the time, but got zilch reaction from the milling throng). I'm just genuinely fascinated by those I encounter that express views that could be construed as 'political' (and I guess you could say that any view has a political angle, eh?) but also claim not to patronise polling stations citing the futility of the existing electoral system. Its this very apathetic attitude that maintains the status quo but, hey, whatever you want...

Well the part of the milling throng that's moi meme was so equally tickled, that a bloke sitting astride that thing waving a mace about has become my default image of your good self. Personally I'd be happy to speak for the apathetic, but can you ever find them around election day?!!

What you mean is that you'd speak for the apathetic if you could be arsed, Brix...

I do think, however, that the far left is just as bad as the far right, if indeed these are the right expressions to describe supporters of totalitarian regimes that subjugate and oppress the people. The ideology of both extremes perversely converge in many ways.

Ah, mother's calling that tea's ready...

I agree they are as bad, it really gets on my tits when middle class white people decide to get offended on behalf of everyone however they are just annoying, the far right in the US, the people who believe the Earth is 3000 years old, are gun nuts, dont believe in evolution and believe that the rapture will be started in the middle east are just downright scary. Especially in charge of all those nukes.
