Didn’t we also publicly state every player has a wage decrease clause? You’d expect an agent to insert a minimum fee if he did.

As I say, I don’t know if he did have one. I suspect none of us do. But he may have.

I suspect when we were signing established Premier League players, like Diame or Huddlestone, a release clause was inserted, I doubt there was so much demand for one on players we signed from Dundee or Chesterfield.

Happy for Robertson.

You could always see what a talent he would become. Even if we stayed up, I think he’s one that was moving either way. Top talent - glad that we were part of his journey so far.

I honestly don’t remember anyone saying he wasn’t good enough for us.

I’ll admit he has surprised me, I always thought he was too weak defensively and I actually thought he might do a semi Gareth Bale and move further forward. But then the fact he barely featured for the first 3 months of the season suggests he may well have solely worked at that.

I do remember some saying he'd never play for Liverpool/Arsenal/etc.. or maybe that was Maguire? One or both of them were slated when they were linked to Spurs/Liverpool etc. as not being good enough to make the step up.

Yep. That’s not the same as saying he’s not good enough for us.

Liverpool will face a £10m payout to Southampton if they win the Champions League over clauses in the contracts of former Saints Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana. (Sun)

I’m surprised the clause is winning, you’d think they’d insert one for reaching the final.
