I post because I enjoy it. The posts don't flag myself up. They're often about cycling, or seeing bands in Bromley in the 60s or some nonsense. And a lot of people have been guessing the date. That's just a bit of fun isn't it? People who claim to be ITK have sources that they don't reveal. I revealed mine so I'm not in the know. We're all in the know, as I have passed on what I know openly and quickly. OK, after the Rothko exhibition or whatever ;-) If and when it happens I'll be happy as anyone. I don't give a crap if I guessed the date right or not. It's all just guesswork, as not even the Aussies know.

Rumours, yes. Yes, I was was wondering about that. You'd imagine there'd be a lot of promises being made to agents and players that they can sign off on all this stuff very soon, but the problem is, it isn't done until it's done. You are posting on a public forum. My own opinion is that you are trying to make a name for yourself as a new fan. You are clearly trying to ingratiate yourself with those you have identified as the “In Crowd” ... ironically fan/employee hypocrites who have themselves been on the Duchatelet wage bill.
I became a proper 'fan' in 2015 so yes, quite new, but my family connections with the club are very strong, and always have been. My first Charlton match was in 1966, just after my grandad died. I didn't like Charlton at the time, because the family felt the way he was treated after being sacked had an adverse effect on his health, and he died younger than he should have. His last years weren't as happy as they should have been. This isn't a revelation, it's quite well known. After he died I lost interest in football until the 80s, although in the mid seventies I wrote a book about his time at Charlton. I went to matches with my mum, when she was invited by the club for whatever reason. We loaned the club the bronze bust of JS's head, which is now on display in the boardroom, and was invited to a game when it was unveiled. I went with my mum when she opened the Jimmy seed Stand many years ago, and met many of the FA Cup winning team. Etc etc. Family ties, so I don't need need to make a name for myself 'as a new fan'. Kind of weird that you'd even think that. I also occasionally took friends to matches. I followed the results of all the clubs he was involved with, Charlton more than the others. I've already written about how I became a 'fan', rather than just a person with a family connection to the club. It wasn't deliberate, it was quite unexpected, and I'm pleased it happened. It's also very personal, and I'm not going to go into that here. You obsession with my Charlton fan credentials are a little strange though. And I'm not trying to ingratiate with any 'in crowd' people. Who's been on the Duchatelet wage bill? Ben? Rick? Who cares anyway? What has that got to do with me?? My family connections to the club mean I don't need to ingratiate myself with anyone to feel connected to the club. There are some great people on CL, just as there are here, and I always feel privileged to meet them. For example on the bike ride to Amsterdam. Lot of fun that was, and something I'd recommend to any Charlton fans. Leave me alone please. Move on.

Nope. I’m just a long term home & away fan who posts on a relatively small forum, with a few fellow long term fans. No need to attention seek, as I’m not in need of anything. No bike rides, no stand signs painted the wrong colour, no Aussie chums or dinner parties. Just a long term fan with the clubs interests at heart

And I've just realised all these people you seem to hate, like Rick and Ben and the people you call the 'in crowd' all have one thing in common. They're respected members of the Charlton community, for various reasons. You resent them for that, but not only that, you're jealous. You know that you'll never have that respect, or a seat as you see it, at the 'top table', so you do all you can to tear down their reputations on here, and elsewhere. And I come along as someone else you probably see as higher up your perceived ladder in your eyes than you are, so the attacks turn on me. Why can't you just get on with being a Charlton fan and stop attacking people? What's the point? Leave them alone, leave me alone, move on, and you'll be a much happier person. Seek help if you have to. And you're not going to drive me away. I'm staying, whether you like it or not. And by the way, there's never been a court case where someone has been tried for calling someone 'nasty'. Who's crying victim now?
