From Dr Kish.... but who knows?? The long running saga of a takeover of the club could be about to end. It is difficult to get any meaningful information about football club takeovers. They are multi-million pound deals that are naturally shrouded in secrecy. Very few people in the club concerned have intimate knowledge of the deal, it is the club's lawyers who have the details. This has been the case at Charlton. With both the Jiminez/Slater takeover in 2010, and their sale to Roland Duchatelet in 2014, the identity of the buyers and precise date of the deals came from out of the blue. Duchatelet has admitted the club is on the market, and rumours that a deal is imminent have been circulating for months. An Australian consortium has been the most persistent rumour about the buyer's identity. Matt Dunn of the Daily and Sunday Express had an exclusive interview with Lee Bowyer which appeared online late on Thursday. Dunn may have dropped a clue in the piece: "Rumours of an imminent takeover by an Australian consortium - with another Leeds legend Kewell their manager-in-waiting - means director Richard Murray has already ready warned Bowyer that Monday’s game against Rotherham may be his last. “If they get rid of me after three games, I don’t know if that would be enough for me to see if this is really what I want to do,” Bowyer admits." Whether that is Murray's interpretation of the situation or hard fact is a matter of conjecture. Only time will tell.

I find it hard to put into words my contempt for Murray. Bowyer is trying to motivate our team to get in the Play Offs FFs. Just f*ck off you old kunt
No disrespect intended to you AHLL but I find myself agreeing with Elfs on this. This Dr Kish piece looks like nothing more than speculation and it feels like we are drowning in a sea of speculation, guesses and recycled rumours. Personally I have lost all faith that this take-over is going to happen in the near future. Lee Bowyer is on a hiding to nothing. All he can do is try to win one game at a time until he learns his fate. I don't envy him.
The part of the article that rings true is Murray working against the best interests of the club yet again. The idiot hasn’t uttered a word in public for weeks....Bowyer wins a game & restores a bit of momentum and up he pops again.
I imagine Bowyer will accept the situation. He would have spoken to Kewell and Kewell will probably know his situation with the Aussies, if not whether the bid goes through. Consequently Bowyer will carry on and wait to join up with Kewell if 'his' men take over. Obviously I am saying this based on if there is any truth in the stories regarding Bowyer's relationship with Kewell.
Appointing Kewell over Bowyer will get the new owners off to a bad start, particularly if we win again today.
You'd think so, but if there's any truth in these Aussie rumours, and what they plan to do immediately, then it just looks like we're getting Duchatelet Version 2 - More nonsensical decisions. This whole manager talk is beyond ridiculous, it's not as if Harry Kewell is an established top manager. Boyer got the job due to circumstances, but he's started well, the fans are happy, so why not give him a chance..? Are the 'other bidders' still around..?
Karel is quite likely a better judge of character than he is a football manager (since he is also probably a better deep sea diver or astronaut than he is a football manager) but all he same I feel 'nasty' is a bit strong. Misunderstood is maybe a better term.
After 16 months of Robinson verbiage preceded by almost 3 years of cack managers, it is understandable that fans have taken to Bowyer. Why not give him a proper trial run in the job until the end of this season ? There are no winners in Murray’s public comment that LB may be out after Monday....correction....there is a winner ....Self Interested Dick himself...these comments keep him where he likes to be ...in the spotlight.
Up and just arrived in the big smoke. Elfs is a nasty piece of work. Hopefully the purple knob is at Northampton.
Elf has tried to force both Don and myself out as Moderators on here.... he is the Jeremy Corbyn of football forums
