Airman Brown said: » show previous quotes There is a substantial backstory to Andrew Muir’s involvement, which dates back to last summer. The durability of that - even if you think it’s not true - is evidenced by the cover of VOTV136 last August. There hasn’t been any significant rumour about the identity of the “second” group other than Murray telling staff it was British. If you’re going to point to the public insubstantiality of the Aussie group, this is much more true of the other one. David Smith said They are one and the same, searching for cash then they found Muir, but still way short on their bid. Not Murray’s choice either from all accounts, he is tied in with another bid we hear.
As smith says - you have to expect the unexpected with CAFC. If it is delayed/wasn’t as near to completion as previously thought, it buys Bowyer and Jackson some time.
And continues to make Judas more of a backside each time he opens his trap. You just know he is going to still be connected with the club when we're taken over.
Angeldust saying that another party have started Due Dilegence on Wednesday. So could be another few weeks. I am really getting bored with it now. We need to plan for next Season with player contracts, season ticket prices etc. This is not helping.
There was me thinking of suggesting to Ponders we join in the new board revellery on Easter Monday. We're sticking with the Eastbourne derby!
The leaks look to be coming more from the buyers side - with the exception to Murray’s public bs a month or so ago.
The one silver lining to this cloud (as Super mentioned earlier) is that Lee Bowyer may get several more games, perhaps even the rest of this season, to continue what he started yesterday. It seems clear that Karl Robinson himself was the very person undermining what he had achieved earlier in the season. Not intentionally, but the breakdown in his relationship with the Club undoubtedly affected the team and compounded the problem of his 4-2-3-1 obsession. But the Bowyer silver lining (if indeed it is that) is only short term. The longer this take-over saga drags on the more likely it is to damage our chances of promotion next season, or even of avoiding another relegation if it goes on long enough. If Duchatelet is still our owner well into the summer what happens to season ticket sales? Would RD allow Bowyer to keep the manager's job or will he install another network puppet? Who if anybody will get the other important posts that are currently vacant? This take-over had better be completed by the final end of the season (after the play-offs).
The Bullshitter is covering his tracks now by resorting to quoting the tabloids. Were these his “multiple sources” last week ?
If there is no take-over announcement this coming week there should be a march and a car-park protest before the game on Easter Monday. Lee Bowyer has made a good start in his caretaker role, but we all know he will be lied to and hung out to dry by the RD regime, just like all our previous managers. Bowyer and the players know that protests are not targeted at them. They should not be used as distractions or even human shields to protect Murray and Duchatelet from Charlton fans who won't tolerate any more of the regime's crap.
