    I have and I didn't.

Besides, that's no longer canon now.

I know it isn't, but that doesn't mean it doesn't add a new element to the movie that makes it more enjoyable, whether some exec at Disney counts it anymore or not.

5 Reasons I is just the worst:

    1. Midichlorian bullshit
    2. Darth Maul's mis-use
    3. Jar-Jar ****ing Binks
    4. Trade disputes
    5. Child Anakin

Like I said, I didn't feel it helped me enjoy I at all. It's a great book though, don't get me wrong.

I think the only thing that would make me enjoy I would be a near-lethal dose of Temazepam.

I guess I saw it for the first time as a 7 year old so have that perspective of it. I don't like Jar-Jar, but can still enjoy the movie for what it is.

Ugh I watched it in theaters and afterwards I literally said "What the **** was that?". Horrible movie followed closely by Episode II and Episode III. Thank god that Lucas isnt involved in the new ones.

4 is the best, closely followed by 6.
Not much between 3 and 5.
2 is watchable and 1 is a shower of ****e.

That might be the most ridiculous and best post you've made.

It's brilliant apart from the bit where you say Empire Strikes Back is the weakest original trilogy film.

    No. Just no.

It's by far the best of the bunch and is arguably the greatest sequel ever made alongside Godfather Part II.

    I'd rank 'em like this:

The Empire Strikes Back - (The darkest and by far the best. Has the best scenes, is the most emotional, fleshes out all the characters more than any other film, has the best fight (Vader vs Luke I) and IMO has the best twist and cliffhanger in film)
Star Wars - (Where it all began. Considering how disastrous the making of the movie was (similar to Jaws) it really should've failed miserably. The one time Lucas did it right.)
Return of the Jedi - (Was my fave when I was younger, but is definitely the weakest of the originals. The Ewoks beating the Empire with sticks really bugs me nowadays)
Revenge of the Sith - (Only prequel that felt anything like a proper Star Wars movie, still loads of problems though)
Attack of the Clones - (As bad as TPM, but actually story wise furthers the saga)
The Phantom Menace - (What the ****?! Jar Jar Binks and Midichlorians. That is all.)

Swap 5 and 6 and that makes a tad more sense.

Episode 4 is called a new hope. It was originally called Star Wars due to studio laziness and Lucas went to great lengths to point out its real name.

Yep it's strange that anyone today will mis the whole 'WTF' moment when the big reveal happens towards the end of V.

No, it was originally called Star Wars by Lucas, he added 'A New Hope' as well as 'Episode IV' on the subsequent 1981 re-release and beyond once he realised he would be able to do his 'saga'.

A New Hope is a rubbish title. It's Star Wars and always will be IMO.

Even Lucas admits he got Episode I wrong, the problem was he didn't learn & no one else jumped in & slapped him saying "NO!"
Anyway if you have seen all the movies, start at I & work your way through to VI! Back to back, have a Star Wars day, it's surprising that JJB isn't as annoying done that way! I did the first 4 over 3 days & due to work did all 6 in 6 days!
I read they're going to re-release the original versions of IV-VI, can't remember if it was just the cinema or on DVD, I assume DVD will make a lot of money after the cinema releases!
New trailer supposed to be coming 16th October!

I can't stand these sites, Star Wars is Star Wars at the end of the day. The person who wrote that, went back & watched the next 2, just to say how crap the next 2 were as well. He & people who shout out about what "should have been done," talks like he's an expert director, the same as football fans shout out about what the team should have done & how their manager got it wrong.
I understand people slating things, it's all human reaction, but really it's a ****ing movie, despite it being my favourite movie ever, I could pick holes in just about any movie if I wanted to, but I don't. I like to enjoy my movies for what they are, movies. I really don't give a **** if someone in Gladiator has a watch on in the background for .5 of a second.
The Star Wars prequels aren't as good as the originals & people slate Lucas for them, he's the one that gave you the Star Wars universe in the first place & probably inspired numerous other movies & directors.
Watch the Prequels as separate movies if you must but don't start going on about how Jar Jar & young Anakin are the most annoying characters ever in movie history. They are annoying, but there are worse.
Star Wars is IMO the best set of movies ever, followed by Lord Of The Rings & The Hobbit, again another 6 movies.
Read the books in the Star Wars universe, but don't compare what was written & what was on film, it's easy to write about an 8 armed creature that kills people, but putting it into a movie & getting special effects to make it look convincing is much more difficult.
Once again the internet strikes again & everyone is all being lead in the same direction!

Yeah, the special effects were the big problem in 1,2 & 3 <doh>

    The prequels are dog ****.

As long as they've got X-Fighters in them, they're worth watching. <ok>

My dog in her halloween costume. I am taking her to a 501st halloween gathering to get some photos of her with stormtroopers. The outfit needs some adjustment as it doesnt fit that well.
