I'll do it tomorrow. Sounds interesting. Never played Knights of the Old Republic though which I always wanted to play.
I love reading lore of franchises I like. Star Wars, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, that sort of thing. Anything with an expansive canonical back story I find fascinating. I even considered writing a novel about the Elder Scrolls and sending it to Bethesda. Got about five pages in and gave up.
I could probably get it on Steam but I think I'm getting a new laptop soon anyway. I saw a trailer recently for Knights of the Fallen Empire and it looked good.
Yea although I think you would want to play from the first level. I think that expansion doesnt start tell like level 60. I recommend the Sith Warrior story-line, its the best I have played.
Always going to go Sith anyway if I did play it. Jedi are too holy and high and mighty for my liking. No wonder they've been purged numerous times.
From my point of view, I don't see them through a black and white, good vs. evil lense. To me, the Sith are ambitious and crave power. The Jedi are ascetics and monastics but that doesn't make them necessarily good, nor does ambition make you necessarily bad. It's not just Star Wars either. I've played a lot of Assassin's Creed games and the creators' obvious aim is to portray the Templars as evil and the Assassin's as good but I don't see it that way. I used to think daleks were evil and Time Lords good until I read up on some Doctor Who lore. Yes, I'm a big nerd.
To me the Sith are just upfront with what they are. The Jedi pretend to be something they are not for their own power play. The Jedi start wars, participate in wars, over throw governments, repress other peoples human emotions but then have them themselves, participate in genocide etc all for their own position of power over others. The Sith are just far far less complicated and far less devious about it. There is really no good vs evil as far as the sith and jedi go.
That sounds about right. I see a recurring theme with supposed 'villains' in franchises. The Sith are evil because they are ambitious and want the power to rule; so do the Templars in Assassin's Creed; so do the daleks in Doctor Who (albeit a bit more genocidal and unforgiving than the other two). The Jedi are portrayed as good but they are guilty of very similar crimes to the Sith; the only difference is that the Sith are honest about why they do it and that is because of personal ambition. The Jedi fought wars to prevent separatists from leaving their crumbling Republic and then preach 'peace'.
I also hate Daenerys Targaryen as well. She'd be a **** monarch just like her father. Spoiler: Game of Thrones Still angry they killed off Stannis the Mannis but whatever.
They assigned you a training officer and opened a thread for you. I think the figures and merchandise come out next Friday. There are rumors a new trailer will come out a few days before that.
Apparently, this is a full size Millennium Falcon and a fleet of X-Fighters that were built somewhere in the British countryside for the Star Wars film. I saw it on Facebook, someone had commented 'is that outside Dipsy and Laa-Laa's house'. please log in to view this image
They're called X-Wings ffs! I remember reading something about the Falcon model being made in an aircraft hanger around here somewhere. Might have been Look North actually.
