  1. Nice to see you ignored Bellamy in that little list...<ok>

I think it is worth noting that the three you mention are 23, 25 and 21 respectively <ok>

    Oh yeah, Bellamy, my bad.

    Problem solved.

    Dear me.

  3. Didn't say he was our 'knight in shining armour' as you would make out, I was merely pointing out that you clearly omitted him so that your figures argument would work <doh>

Isn't it about time you told us who you really support...? <whistle>

I am sorry, but if Martinez layed down all these fabulous foundations, how come Wigan are ****? Not buying into any of that.

in the end i think both you you should be able to agree on the fact that no matter who did what at swansea LFC are a massive world club requiring a really strong manager and we've appointed a very young guy and its about 50 times as big a job and pressure thats he's known before... only time will tell how it works.

Suarez, Carroll, Borini, Bellamy, Sterling plus any new signings.

United have Rooney, Wellbeck, Chicarito. Owen has gone and Berbaslop is on his way. Not seeing a significant difference there.

Every young manager who has been successful has been given an opportunity at some stage. He is clearly a bright and articulate character. I think he will excel. But you are right, only time will tell.

The significant difference is Rooney has scored 66 Goals in his last 127 Premier League Games.

You need to open your eyes.

Suarez 111 goals in 156 games for Ajax. This was his first season in a new league. He will improve and hopefully he will not have his season disrupted by an 8 game ban.

I can say hand on heart, I would not swap Rooney for Suarez. You can't judge a player on how many goals he has not scored n England because he has not played here for long<doh>

Rodgers paid tribute to the man who brought a continental style of football to the club. The Irishman has gone one better though, making the team more effective and winning promotion to the Premier League.

Roberto Martinez left the club to join Wigan, a shortcut to the top flight - which left many Swans fans bitter and annoyed about his decision to leave.

Rodgers says Martinez laid the foundations to help the club move on to bigger and better things after he left:

'I think every manager has made their mark here,'

'Roberto laid the foundations in relation to the philosophy and way of playing. He is a great manager and someone who did a terrific job during his tenure at Swansea.

'He's done a terrific job at Wigan in the last few seasons, they are fighting for their lives and we know it's going to be a tough game.'

'We are just looking at winning the next game, we're not jumping the gun and there's still a lot of work to do,'

'But I have never thought about getting relegated from this league, we just want to keep picking up points and see where it takes us at the end of the season.'

Wigan are far from ****. You need to remember, they are a very small Club, what they have done and continue to do at the DW is nothing short of remarkable.

And Hughes layed the foundations for Mancini. So what?

And Swansea are even a smaller club. Last time I looked at the league table Swansea>Wigan

Suarez has proved in a season and a half in the Premier League that he does not have the ability to repeat his goalscoring record in Holland.

No surprise there, Dirk Kuyt came with a similar record, so did Georgios Samaras and Afonso Alves...

Oh, and really. If you wouldn't swap Rooney for Suarez. Perhaps football isn't really your thing, try a different sport.

Suarez was surrounded by a bunch of players not on his wavelength. As I said it was his first season. With the right system and a better player around him, we will see the best from Suarez.

    We had:

    Kuyt.poor touch
    Adam: Shoot from distance
    Downing: 0 assists

Etc, this is the class of player he was with, you could see by his body language he was frustrated.

I would rather have Suarez over the most useless England player of all time also. Suarez will score more goals than Rooney this coming season and you can use Rooney missing 8 games or more as an excuse. Sorry, missing in 8 games or more.

That's right, Hughes deserves credit for his part in assembling that squad. But citeh didn't replace him with a novice, they went out and hired a Manager with Serie A Titles and numerous Cups to his name, the fact that they kiked on from that appointment should have come as a surprise to no-one.

As for the size of Club being dependent on last season's League position, behave yourself.

County are a bigger Club than Wigan.

    Happy to take that bet.

    £10 a goal?

Agree with Rooney being **** for England. Massive let down.

Well if Swansea's rise to a decent mid table finish is the work of Martinez, then why has he got Wigan struggling near the foot of the table? Some would argue Wigan have a better type of player, they have invested more in the squad (fact) and have been established in the premier league. They show little sign of improvement. Season on season flirting with relegation???
