Father Ted and Alan Partridge are undeniably the greatest thing to come out of England. <ok>

Both come a very poor second to The Goons and Monty Python

Python was brilliant. Milligan on his own I loved. I found that the Goons didn't always work.

Oh you poor boy! The Goons (Harry Seacombe, Spike Milligan, Peter Sellers) was a radio programme in the 50's which was brilliantly avant-garde and set the framework for the later Fringe and Python work.

It left such noteworthy lines as "he's fallen in de water" and "everybody got to be somewhere" and you must have heard this before

Sure Peter Sellers appeared in Pink Panther as Inspector Clouseau but also starred in many other films. Google Spike Milligan and you'll find references to his books and his tv series.

Sure these guys were before your time but they had a far greater effect upon comedy in particular and entertainment in general than the majority of their successors.

Can't help you with the choice between bike or car. Can suggest that you'd be far better off with a yacht than a speedboat. <ok>

He wishes. Plus, my birthday is the same day as Sir Roger. So yet again you're wrong. You must surely be used to that by now, though.

Also anniversaried on 20th July, Springsteen's 'Born to Run' album finished and Miami Steve does his first gig with the E St. Band that night. Attenmpt by General von Stauffenburg and others to assisinate Hitler. And the day Bruce Lee died.

    I kinow stuff.
