Better players than Manquillo have tried and failed to get past Johnson in that starting place and not just for Liverpool but also for England and all his previous teams. Frankly Johnson is a football blind spot, managers (not just Rodgers) keep picking him despite being ****
lol, how can you possibly try and blame Ayre ffs? He's signed off £215m of business for Rodgers. Including paying £25m for the likes of Lallana. The players signed or not, are down to Rodgers. You did enquire about Bony, but never followed it up with a firm offer. You bought Balotelli as Rodgers wanted him, he wasn't foisted on him and he could have put his money elsewhere. The allocation of resources was down to him, trying to shift that blame onto the CEO is just excusing the failings of the man responsible
well you would agree with him wouldn't you, you daft t**t, hes your fecking manager, and this thread is designed to tell us how s**te our one is. on his point, if martinez was that good why did utd go for moyes then and not martinez? also 100 mill will get him straight in the top 4 when us and utd have spent more than that and are both playing s**te and struggling to make it? city, chelsea, arsenal, utd, liverpool and spurs, and to get ahead of all them only takes £100mill? sounds like he could be the next real or barca manager to me.
Garbage. You lot were lucky to get away with a point from Anfield with your master tactician, Martinez is then a fraud after losing some bodies then? We lost 50+ goals and probably 10 15 assists in two players who also made it possible for Sterling to do a lot of damage. Lovren manquillo Moreno Lallana Bad All new in a system the others took a year to acclimatise to. yes rodgers has made mistakes but your genius of last year is also suffering problems with changes For me Rodgers biggest failing has been in the transfer market this sunmmer. ANDDDD some players have been just ****ing ****e. our problems are goals, that's the difference from last season, we were just as leaky but we were banging them in
We've been saying that for years, although I think he might also end up at Arsenal. His next club will either be RM, Barca or Arsenal.
They should have done eh..... Would Martinez get us top 4 with £100m? I'd fancy our chances, and I'm certain he'd do a damn sight better with £100m than Mr Clever
has he had £100 mill to spend? cant speak hypothetically no comparision, and also every manager has brought crap even great ones so what a stupid comment.
You look at the players that Rodgers has bought. Lallana £25 million, Lovern £20 million, Markovic £20 million, Joe £15 million, Balottelli £16 million. That's nearly 100 million before the likes of Sturridge, Can, the left back, the goalie etc. Only Sturridge has been a great buy.
Great buy? Maybe in time but hes done nothing yet. Shown promise and probably better than most others mentioned but would you call him great?
in the sense that i see world class potential in him yes, unlike markovic who cost more who hasn't shown me any promise of why the feck we paid £20 mill for him, then yes i would put Coutinho a great buy esp considering he was £8-9 mill buy.
Don't see how you can claim any player is a bad signing after a few weeks. Especially those you mention that have either hardly played, or the two that played very well last season in the PL, Lovren and Lallana, Bad got 28 or more goals last season so he was scoring, but I still think that was where the big mistake was made as we had nothing when Studge was out if the new guy fired blanks, but still, it's too early, far too early to judge Bad's Liverpool career but I would ahve gone for someone else, never thought we'd sign him in a million years, Liverpool fans still chant his name at games Come season end if we get top 4, with arse city and chavs, all the kack from tobes will just be kack, like the kack before last season started that turned out to be kack. Everyone's an expert on current form.
To be fair, it's a little more than a few weeks and at those price tags, should have settled by now as it's not a new league for them. The debate isn't them being poor players, but the amount paid for them.
