Sixteen seconds...<whistle>

Never understood why the chavs moaned so much about Garcias goal seeing as it was a blatant pen in the build up (and possible red)....was probably the only big decision we've had in a decade anyway <whistle>

Ref even said after that if he hadnt given the goal, It would have been a pen and he would have sent Cech off...Nothing to moan about, but they always find something...spoilt kids the lot of them

After their semi-final second leg match against Liverpool at Anfield in which the visiting team lost by one goal to nil, Chelsea manager José Mourinho complained that Micheľ and his assistant referee, Roman Slysko, had been wrong to award Liverpool their victory, with what amounted to be a "ghost goal".[8] The next morning, a Sky Sports computerised 're-enactment' suggested the ball had not crossed the line, and that Micheľ would have been unable to see it from his angle.[9]

After studying a series of still images of the incident, motion expert Mike Spann disagreed, and concluded that Micheľ had made the correct decision.[10]

The positioning and body movements of Chelsea's William Gallas, who tried to clear Luis Garcia's shot with his right foot, as well as the movement of the ball relative to Gallas, led Dr Spann to conclude: "It was a goal."[10]

Micheľ himself stated that his decision was based on the reaction of the assistant referee, and had he not awarded Liverpool the goal, he would have had no other alternative but to award them a penalty kick and send off Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Čech for a foul on Milan Baroš. "I believe Chelsea would have preferred the goal to count rather than face a penalty with just ten men for the rest of the game. If my assistant referee had not signaled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Petr Čech."[11]

hilarious.... but really we know the first spanish side anyone comes up against will have any english sides ass.

Real Madrid or Barcelona? Yes!

Malaga or Valencia? Not so sure. I think both Man Utd and Arsenal are capable of beating these on their day <ok>

Europa League is a little different as it depends how serious the clubs take it.

Not if the English team plays patient, tough football. Speak to Spanish fans and ask them what types of teams they'd rather avoid playing...they'll tell you its English teams (90% of them anyway) then Italian teams (club football I mean). Its easy to frustrate Spanish teams. Not so easy to beat them admittedly but it can be done. Its much more difficult however if you try and play them at their own game.

As long as it isn't a Italian club versus Spanish club, these are very predictable and boring games IMO <ok>

Aren't you you getting ahead of yourselves a little?

Some absolutely quality teams in the tournament. Monchengladbach, Atletico Madrid, Ajax and Napoli are all unseeded for the draw which shows the quality left in it. Looking very tough this year.

Nobody is getting ahead of them self. A little reminiscing never hurt anyone <ok>

Was just a thought Shogs <doh> Not getting ahead of myself at all but you know how football can throw up these games now and again.

Final? not like you lads to get ahead of yourselves, you'll soon be re-acquainted with Earth though. ;)

It evened out, Carroll's was a goal so they can't complain anyways <ok>

Currently they are now saying the champions league is stupid cos they went out on away goals when they scored 16 but forget mention they conceded 10 though.

The Chavs don't like it that their 6 goal haul against the only team they did well against in their group wasn't enough to get them through, trying veinly to understand that the head to heads are so to prevent sh!t teams going through via hammering a minnow
