Really intrigued about this battle, Rodgers got the better of Wigan last year winning one and drawing the other managing Swansea. Given the fact they were both going for the Liverpool job in some capacity and that Rodgers has often come under criticism that it was Martinez who made Swansea what they are and their philosophy rather than Rodgers who later claimed the plaudits. I'm sure Rodgers would love to get one over on him on a personal note.
Disappointed with Sahin because I know he is a lot better. But I wouldn't put Shelvey in - he is far too raw. Doesn't really offer much apart from getting into the box and missing sitters. I'm being harsh on the lad and I do think he will be a cracking player when he's older but he is simply not ready yet.
