Or he wants to replace himself as a substitute.

  4. Nobody can live up to the legand that is Sami <ok>

With my current club: I wore seventeen in my first season, managed to get my hands on number eight for the next two years but then the new manager decided to scrap squad numbers and hand them out on the day, 1 - 11 being the starting team and the subs can fight for the rest.

I usually get the number two <grr> because I'm usually at right back <ok>

    I'd prefer to see

    --------------Gerrard----------------
    ----------Allen---Suso---------

Play Allen in his best position. Gerrard seems to do well sitting deeper for England so I think its time he started there for us, plus he should offer better cover than Allen has been. If we are chasing goals second half we can always take Allen off for Henderson and push Gerrard forward

17 to 8? Your practically Gerrard.

I'd be open to trying this. But I'm not sure I can see Suso getting the goals atm.

I reckon drop Allen. The lad's not been playing well recently. Gerrard, Suso and Sahin.

What would be your midfield 3 when Lucas returns? Mine would be Lucas-Allen-Shelvey with Gerrard on the right of the attacking 3, Sterling on the left with Suarez centre.

To be fair Martinez is the true architect of Swansea and their style of play. I think Rodgers is a very big gamble and is unproven at that level. Surely a good manager like Mourinho would have done better with your current squad? <ok>

Gerrard could be useful in the front three.

But I think I'd go with:

    ---------------Lucas--------------
    ---------------------Allen--------
    ----------Gerrard-----------------
    --xxxxxxx---------------xxxxxxxx--
    --------------Suarez--------------

But other than Sterling, our options in the wide roles are limited.

If anyone deserves to be dropped it Sahin. I'd rather see Shelvey or Henderson ahead of him. Allens not been great lately but push him forward into the final third and I think he'll find some more creative passes. He's too weak physically to play the role he has been. Offers no protection at all
