Dempsey would be a great short term addition to the squad. Quality and versatile. Looks like we won't be mugged for £10M now as well.

well the question is formation then?

if its 4-3-3 as most assume (and i'm wokring on thinking that way for now as well) then where would dempsey and ramirez play? I thought GR played right side forward but for urugauy he was very central v senegal. Saurez is a right side forward too at his very best and borini similary could play either side.

who's our no 9 going to be?

Dempsey in a 4-3-3 would play left side?

    thoughts?

    -------Borini/Suarez/Dempsey--------
    Suarez/DempBorini---GR/Gerrard------Borini/Demp/Suarez

    ------Lucas---Allen/Gerrard-------

Pretty good options if you ask me and some flexability depending on the game as well.

What I want to know is...will we have a 'real' number 9 this season? Does the number 9 really exist? and if it does exist, does that prove that water is actually wet?

I love the way some of you pick a starting 11 with players that arent yours....why not include Messi or Ronaldo to give further options??

How very presumptious....and I refer you to the starting 11s posted about a month ago icluding Siggy!

Perhaps you should try concentrating on the bird in the hand and commenting on what you actually have?

Perhaps you should try concentrating on your own team, rather than criticize our members for but discussing possible options based on reported transfer targets. That is the point of an online forum, to discuss.

Believe me when I say, what you advise will not be taken on board.

Last time i looked it up, Allen is on my own team!! AS such, I am entitled to retort to the constant assumption that he is already yours (made by your fans on this site and our own threads)!! I imagine that you would not be too happy if the boot was on the other foot.

PS Bitter, moi .....I'm a Jack and living the dream!

The only ridiculous thing here is your allusion to Messi and Ronaldo. It's been widely reported, by credible journalists, that Allen is a target, as was Sigurdsson.

Go on the Arsenal board. They're posting XIs with Cazorla in, based on the likelihood of him moving to them. Hardly a ridiculous thing to do, is it? When we're linked with a player, our first thought is 'where will he fit into our team?' If that's insulting to you, you need to find another hobby.

When you see a T shirt in the shop you like...you try it on. <ok>

Unless you see a T shirt that is too expensive (Messi, Ronaldo), then you'd be wasting your time. Unless your a woman trying on wedding dresses...then they're just trying to scare men. <cheers>

I'm buzzing off how bitter little old Swansea fans have become over us because we took their Manager and it looks like were taking their best player off them too.

Welcome to the big league. This is the food chain and the way it goes. We could lose one of our best players to City or Chelsea and we'd be gutted, but in the end we'd just accept it was part of the game and to do with us not being one of the best teams in the league currently.

We wouldn't become bitter like the Jacks who, if I remember correctly, used to like Liverpool, some even took us as their second team when they were down the bottom divisions, but because we stole your manager and probably your best player thats all out the window.

Just deal with it and move on without being bitter. It happens to nearly every team in the country.
