You can only beat whats in front of you but that is not the issue......They have more than held their own against European sides over the years and by your own logic they have had no competition like the others and go into the competition without being tested so it will be harder for them when the come up against harder opposition....
what part dont you understand that because the have no competition in Scottish football that when they play in Europe they will have had no test and will find games harder......A massive team that has attracted massive managers and players over the years......If that is a step down then you know nothing about football....
In football , more than any other sport , if you get to the competition you can win it . I'm sure there is a lot of clubs , that can't make Champions League because of the competition in their own league to make it , might win it . If your allowed into Champions League because of a " Silver Spoon " route , you can make yourself look good . If Celtic were in the English Leagues , they might have made it a few times , no guarentee s though .
Why is it a silver spoon ? . they qualify because they are a massive club who can attract the best players and managers. Its not their fault the rest cant do what they do and they do it every season, so they must be good.....
They qualify because there is no one in there way ,.... Period .To not see that is , well ...I won't say .
