I do agree. the us american pussball has the refs miked and they have to explain live the decision. I think refs should be miked like rugby so we can "listen in" let the TV station censor it if there's rooney like foul mouthedness. I for one would love to hear what clattenburg has been up to. You are right about clarke, that could be the case... accountability is difficult without the evidence. record their utterances and decisions for all to see.... then we would also need a closing of the loop with genuine punishment. I think personally this knee jerk drop a ref for 2 weeks to the championship is not that. you should have stuff added up over a season then drop the ref from the panel and drop his wages too for the next season. the linesman who flagged sterling offside when he was 2 yards onside... that needs video review to solve.
I'm also watching to see if the decisions on the hull kicks and cheslea kick by e'tto get any action. If not we can conclude CLEARLY the video panel is a political tool and nothing else.
Would have been worth another £8k if he'd have called Webb a biased **** too after the Chelsea debacle.
Not quite the news from the FA he was expecting but an award he truly deserves after his not stop bitching all season.
The deluded and ******ed Mancs think saying you have to play against the referees doesn't mean the referees are against you
That's my Man Utd account You can chat as much **** as you want on their board so long as you say you support their team
Brendan Rodgers was fined £8,000 by the FA for pointing out that Lee Mason, who lives in Bolton, shouldn’t really be taking charge of games in Manchester. It’s a shame that Rodgers held his hand up. Because the Reds boss could have drawn on plenty of statistical previous to point out the veracity of his argument. The FA seemed particularly irked by Rodgers saying: “I’m sure for Liverpool v Man City we wouldn’t get anyone from Wirral being the ref.” Rodgers could have said “I’m bloody certain we wouldn’t get anyone from Wirral” because the FA has made it perfectly clear that someone from the Wirral refereeing a match on Merseyside is a problem. Mike Dean comes from Heswall in the Wirral. He has been a referee for almost 20 years, and a Premier League referee for over 13 seasons. And a resourceful Reds fan, who goes under the nom de plume AllFactsNoFiction, unearthed the following figures. In those 13 seasons Mike Dean has taken charge of 516 games. In those 13 seasons Everton and Liverpool have each played in 514 Premier League games and around 50-100 cup games each. And in those 13 seasons Dean has refereed Everton twice – the last in 2006, and Liverpool only once, on January 8 2003. None of the games were in Liverpool. Coincidence? Clearly not. In 2006 Dean was originally appointed to referee the FA Cup final, but was later replaced by Alan Wiley. The FA explained: “We have complete faith in Dean's refereeing ability, integrity and impartiality. The fact he is from the Wirral might lead to comment and debate which could place him under undue additional pressure. The decision has been taken with the best interests of Mike Dean and the competition in mind.” Bolton is 15 miles from Manchester City. What’s that about not shooting the messenger? fa are ****s!!
Brendan has really started some serious straw clutching here, if any of you know anything about Bolton you would know that most of it`s people do not like Manchester teams at all (they have a quite famous one of their own to support). To try and compare Bolton/Manchester to Liverpool/The Wirral is very strange, Bolton is a Town in it`s own right completely seperate from Manchester, what exactly is The Wirral? If Brendan and yourselves really want to complain about refs loyalty`s you should target southern refs because apparantly that is where most of our fan base comes from.
Utd have got "fans" all over the world yet you think they haven't got any within one of greater Manchester's own borough's. Wirral is the peninsula that separates the river Mersey and the river Dee, its where Tranmere Rovers FC dwell.
I actually do know three people from Bolton who are United supporters, i also know one who is a Liverpool supporter (****ing plastics)
Davy would need an awful lot of straws right now, i think he is keeping his eyes open for a large plank floating past
