Not wanting to get ahead of ourselves but ............. does this mean that the spell is now broken and a top manager wanting us will mean top players will too ... could this really be the sleeping giant awakening? [props to Gerrez].

i think a quality manager will help attract them jb, i still think we will have issues with our wage package structure though.

Klopp, good manager (maybe a great one??), He's what most of us fans have wanted..
Someone that's been there done that, not only domestically but in Europe too..

However, lets not get our hopes up, it will take time for his methods to be adapted and for him to get the players in he wants/needs..
I wouldn't expect much this year, maybe top 6 by the end of the year with his footballing philosophy taking shape but top 4 is not what I expect.. (would love to be proven wrong)...

Next year could be our year [HASHTAG]#oldonesarealwaysthebestones[/HASHTAG]

You have a point. Maybe the new manager will insist on fewer, better players and realise that the wages for say 2 top players will amount to the same as 9 squad players.

Three things have helped here though: (1) The relaxing of FFP rules (2) The giant TV package for the premier league and (3) Our investment in the stadium (and potential future investment). The first two alone will mean that we have the spending power of the biggest clubs in Europe. The third will ensure that we remain one of the biggest brands in english and world football (we'd been left behind some time ago....)

I imaging that along with the change of coach, our entire strategy will change. We'd be mad not to adapt to these changes.

Really we should have a club strategy/philosophy - call it what you will - that any new manager, player ... has to adapt to and not the other way round. We lost focus and continuity as a club a long time ago, we need the updated version of the Boot Room whatever that looks like and make the club a real force again.

Klopp is a big name In football - players want to play for him, and he will have contacts in Germany to help attract some of the golden generation.

Some of the greats in the history of the game speak so highly of him as well as the players he's worked with,

Attracting players will still be difficult but a whole lot better now that we have a high profile manager.

Agreed - this is why appointing a CEO and DOF is crucial.

His style of play is heavily reliant on fitness and high intensity.

He doesn't have a pre season to work on this .
