Hopefully Kloppo will help bring in some German players at a decent price, instead of paying ott for british rubbish, at least we'll be good for the penalty shootouts.
It always surprises me at the lack of Germans in the Premiership
I think if FSG had been more decisive and got Klopp earlier we would now be watching Mikey Ryan, Reus and Hummels in the red of Liverpool rather than Lovren.Lallana and Allen

Plenty of good players in that league. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Some really interesting comments from Tony Barrett this morning:

- There was clashes immediately over [HASHTAG]#Sturridge[/HASHTAG] (club wanted him, Rodgers wanted Dempsey)

- [HASHTAG]#Rodgers[/HASHTAG] wanted [HASHTAG]#Allen[/HASHTAG] for 15m but the committee thought he was too expensive. [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG]

- [HASHTAG]#Rodgers[/HASHTAG] wanted one player, the committee wanted another

- [HASHTAG]#Rodgers[/HASHTAG]' good faith in agreeing to signing [HASHTAG]#Firmino[/HASHTAG] (committee) was repaid by [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG] meeting [HASHTAG]#Benteke[/HASHTAG]'s clause.

- [HASHTAG]#Rodgers[/HASHTAG] had stopped believing in the committee and the committee in him. [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG]

- [HASHTAG]#Sakho[/HASHTAG]'s contract renewal was for me the first sign that [HASHTAG]#Rodgers[/HASHTAG]'s time was limited. [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG] (Implies the renewal was initiated by FSG, not Rodgers)

- The club feel that if they get a manager who believes in the commitee signings & gives them a system to flourish in. [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG]

Sakho signed new contract 18 September, just after the losses to West Ham and Man Utd so that period marks the beginning of the end

The next game was Norwich where Rodgers changed to 3 at the back which probably sealed the deal for FSG (wasn't what they'd discussed and recruited for in the transfer window)

Just to put it to bed once and for all, taken from the Echo today:-

Rodgers was the driving force behind signing the likes of Borini, Allen, Lallana, Lovren, Lambert, Ings, Milner and Benteke. (James Pearce)

Rest of the committee key for the likes of Sturridge, Coutinho, Sakho, Can, Moreno, Alberto, Aspas, Markovic, Origi & Firmino (James Pearce)

One thing worth noting is how very few players, coaches, pundits have a bad word to say about him.

He will be a big draw for players.

I think Klopp is screwed if he comes to Liverpool, the whole structure and the way they do things isn't conducive for a manager like him. To be honest, there aren't many managers out there that could get them Champions league football with a new stadium build, lack of transfer funds and huge expectations on their back. He would be foolish to take the Liverpool job and in my opinion, its a bit of a poison chalice.

The Arsenal job is the polar opposite, the new manager will have money, large fan base and supportive management. Arsenal are ready to lead the Premier league, we just need the new Wenger.

<doh><laugh>

The above point is not about point scoring - it's to highlight how disconnected the process was.
Didn't take it as such J...:emoticon-0100-smilecoming from slightly different angles but shows the potential for conflict in that particular committee set up. Hopefully with new manager and a couple of tweeks it will be much more successful.:emoticon-0148-yes:

And anyway..despite my reservations it's a new start. If we get Klopp which looks likely he's a more forceful personality. Very emotional. I can't seem him accepting some of the same shananigans backroom without voicing quite loudly his displeasure lol..

We can only hope a lot of lessons continue to be learned by everyone remaining at the club.

It's good to be excited again.

And I severely doubt we have to hear about the f*cking character of the team after a sh!t performance. I want Klopp to sort them out, not hide the players from criticism.

He's definitely not a yes man. <ok>

If we planned for a back 4 both Rogers and all the commitee should have been sacked as we ended up with 2 fullbacks one of which Rogers didn't dare play at FB only WB plus an 18 year old who had barely played for Charlton. i thought it was obvious we would end playing 3 at the back after the loans of Wisdom and Illori.
not that i rate those 2 Wisdom is at best average and Illori i've never seen play apart from a couple of clips on youtube so cannot have an opinion

Rodgers wanted 4-2-3-1 - it's been his desired formation since he arrived.

Then reverted to back 3 st first sign of trouble.
