Klopp is set to bring Zeljko Buvac (assistant manager) and Peter Krawietz to his backroom staff.

Writing on the wall for Gary Mac and SOD.

... from an outsider's perspective I have some sympathy for Brenda ... I just don't get how a transfer committee can work in practice ... seems far easier to just have a good network of scouts, some working on positional needs and some just identifying next generation talent ... manager rubber stamps identified targets and this then goes to the board for approval / money men to thrash out contract etc ... no question then that the manager lives or dies by his own choices and tactics ... if you are bringing a 'manager' in, let him manage ffs!! ... can't see Klipperty putting up with tha same crap in reality ... however much the club continues to maintain that the committee works and will remain in place ... it clearly doesn't ... and for me the veneer being put out there is blame deflection, face saving, bollocks <laugh> ... not saying that Brenda would necessarily have succeeded without the interference mind <laugh> ....

Klopp recognises one of his questioners... "Oh! The S*n!" he says with comic shrug before answer starts "Do you think I'm an idiot?"

He already gets it <ok>

I still feel there needs to be structural changes. The committee is a good concept and have done a decent job in your eyes but still scope for improvement.

We should do all we can to bring in Zorc to head the committee.

Another change I would propose is bringing in a new CEO - someone like Cortese is available and would be brilliant given his success at Soton and contacts within the game.

I fully agree and good shout on Cortese. First things first however, let's walk before we can run and hire a first class coach which Klopp undoubtedly is. It's that sort of calibre of manager who will provide the platform for a great structure, but he'll have to work in unison for now or it'll ultimately fail.

This is the thing - performing well for a mid table club is one thing, performing for a team that expects to win every week is another.

Ask Carroll, Downing, Adam, Lallana, Lovren, Lambert etc.

isn't that what you guys have done with firmino jimmy, bought from a mid table german club :P

Difference is, Firmino consistently performed over a 2 year period. It wasn't just a flash in the pan,

Combined with the fact that his performances and stats are amongst the world class stars over that period in terms of goals, assists and chances created for players in his position.

Buying from mid table clubs isn't a problem - it's about buying players who aren't just flavour of the month.

<laugh> I think you mean performing for a team where 'the fans' expect to win every week .... but here's the thing ... ALL football fans expect to win every week ... it's just the levels of delusion that differ .. <laugh>

Nope - at Liverpool, anything less than a win is disappointing.
