Denial is a terrible thing mate. Your idiots are no different to any others

The worst scenario that I can imagine here is that we are the actual idiots of our respective fan-bases. But because we are idiots we don't think we are idiots, and that other people are.

Reactions: Treble
Don't think Balo was a committee buy, he was the only striker of international quality that actually agreed to sign for us. Everyone else said no.

Or at least that's what gerrard said in his new book, that it was a gamble that Rodgers agreed to and told him about.

He must agree to any signing for it to happen

fair point, but from the sounds of it from Gerrard, it wasn't a transfer forced on Brodge by a committee, it was simply a gamble after missing all our other targets

Sounds like it was a case of him or no one.... And let's be honest we'd all take the player instead of no one.

Anyone that has played FIFA or champ manager has always brought players in the first transfer window rather than settle for the team currently have.

"I told the players at half-time that I have no time to ask them why they were so bad. I want to try to understand because I don't accept it.

"I am not a magician. I tried my best for the team. At half-time I said I was sorry I only had three subs as I wanted to change six."

So what's wrong with that?
Six of his players were not performing to the level he expects from them and he told them so. Should he have done a Brendan and told them they were great technicians and giving their all, do you think that would have helped?

He's basically implying that were Rodgers to blame the players for our poor form over the last 20 games or so, he would rightly be ridiculed by yourself and others for not accepting the blame for our poor form.

It's a very valid point.

After 20 games he would have a point.
I love Chelsea's current situation but can agree with Jose in his assessment of the cause (players not performing to acceptable standard). Astro believes Brendan when he talks his blarney, even after 20 games.
One manager I expect to turn things around, the other is putting all his hopes on a player who has a terrible injury record (hopefully for the players sake this may have been sorted).
Both managers seem to have internal problems with their club/squad, one is obviously not happy with the situation, the other doesn't seem to realise the problem exists.

Yeah that's in The Mail so is probably made up.

The comments from Rodgers have really annoyed me yes people are calling for your head and yes there was a hysteria around the club. This is because we've been playing so very badly and that's after a poor season last time around so you'll have to excuse the fans for not being happy with the performances.

Can't be bothered quoting as I'm on my phone but there's comment from him in the Echo saying "give me the tools and I'll do the job" to me this does suggest he's not happy with the transfers and goes with those who are suggesting some players are forced on him.
He also says that he's proven that when he has top talent he gets results.

Maybe, maybe not. Point was he had to agree to it. If he really didn't want him he could have refused. Yes, we'd have been short on numbers but (with hindsight) it wouldn't have made any difference bar saving some money

Yes, he has the right to defend himself "Talking is the begining of Freedom".
Has he a record to defend last season and this season. Certainly NO !
