No - Sakho was in training and made himself Avilable for selection. Henderson and Allen were both in similar situations before and both were picked to start.

Please do not think for a second that Sakho was first choice and Rodgers was doing him a favour.

It was always going to be Lovren.

He clearly indicated it was a fitness issue. since Sakho hasn't refuted that .....

Sure Rodgers was saying somewhere Sakho hadnt been fit and he had to get his fitness up, think it was after the Bordeaux game.... I'll try and find

Strange - Sakho didn't appear to be injured during pre season, and he's come into the first team and doesn't look rusty at all.

Like I've said, fans can keep trying their best justify Rodgers decisions to make him look good. No offence but I refuse to be that naive.

To replace Gerrard as a midfielder and experienced player

You think Rodgers was telling FSG not to buy the likes of Sanchez for him?
Sanchez didn't go to Arsenal because you couldn't offer him the same package ffs

As for this supposed wages issue myth that you and @Gerrez are trying to perpetuate. You're paying Milner over £150k per week. There is no issue in that regard

One player who didn't demand a transfer fee <doh>

We pay a low basic wage and the rest is boosted by bonuses. Its the main reason for top players not joining.

Rodgers said Sakho was a good player but fitness issues is why he hasn't been consistent. He wasn't referring this season but to Sakhos Liverpool career.

But like I said, Sakho was never Rodgers choice and he's avoided having to use him whenever possible. Sakho had no fitness issues this season.

Maybe Sakho just got a bit fat over Summer

I want Rodgers gone btw, just saying that is what Rodgers said

Utter bollocks mate.

You're paying Milner £150k+ per week.

Who's turned you down because you wouldn't pay them enough dosh?

Oh right with ye

This is annoying BR playing his favourites, all managers do it though. Its just that BR continues to do it when they are clearly not performing

Who said injury? I'm going on the fact that Rodgers said he wasn't fit enough. And the player who is emotional enough to stomp off when told he wasn't picked hasn't refuted that public statement.

Stomped off that day after being told the previous night that he would be starting.

Players get a lot of stick in the press - Rodgers and the club are no angels themselves.

An emotional French man?

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR <whistle>

While other factors are there Tobes wage limits are an issue. Or did all those players that went to City Originally like the manc sunset?

Didn't say that but you are very selective about which rumour /speculation you hold up as proof. did sakho tell you that personally..got the quote for that? You also seem to alter your standards that you hold up to failure for Rodgers but dismiss with previous/ alternative managers..

Me? Maybe I'm Naive..I'm just judging on performance on the pitch..it's enough for me . Dont need the Hollyoaks drama crap.

When City set off on their mission to buy the league they had to pay way over the odds otherwise the kind of players that they needed to acheive the goal were never going to go there. Now they're an established CL side then the need to do so has gone.

You're not an oil club and you're not in the same position City were in.

The kind of players that would want more than £150k per week wouldn't sign for you anyway, so it's a moot point.

But the question remains unanswered, who's turned you down because of the dosh on offer?
