Quite a few reliable people have mentioned that FSG are ready to act after the Derby. So I'm in a good mood![]()
Right ok. Fair enough, I suppose it depends on the outcome tomorrow.

I know mate and he's definitely not an ideal fit. But the club is about winning and he would certainly bring that. You're right to be concerned about the long term but no doubt he would get us back in the mix before he left and then we can build on that.
But surely by what you have said on here Mourinho has failed spectacularly. He took a team that was PL winning quality, won it one season by adding a striker that everybody knew was all they needed and has then somehow managed to screw up the one thing he's supposed to be good at (organisation and defence), been terrible in the transfer market and now made a PL winning team, mid table cannon fodder.
He's not had to build that team and had the money to just add and yet he's below Rodgers in the league and playing the same if not worse football??????
Right ok. Fair enough, I suppose it depends on the outcome tomorrow.
Proven to do what??????But he won the league last season? He's won league titles everywhere he's been. He's won CL's. He's proven unlike Rodgers.
Don't think it does - I think the decision has already been made IMO.
Quite a few interesting theories have been brought up e.g. we wanted to replace Rodgers in the summer but the desired managers weren't available. So rather than bring in an interim manager until the desired manager comes in, we'll keep Rodgers. Whilst it looks like we backed him, FSG only spent net £10m which is relatively little and they hired some cheap coaches in Mac and SOD.
I love winning![]()

Proven to do what??????
C'Mon Jimmy!
Do you honestly think he'd take our team as is and in two years, on our budget make that kind of progress?
Starting to think you're on the WUM a bit...
I know we're sh*t and fans have accepted mediocrity therefore have forgotten what winning and competing with the best is like..
He would get us a lot closer to where we need to be.
Proven to do what? Erm ... win!! I know we're sh*t and fans have accepted mediocrity therefore have forgotten what winning and competing with the best is like, but Mourinho is a winner - forget how he's achieved it for one second and just look at his record.
I've constantly said that Mourinho is not a long term manager and needs money - I guarantee he would have got us competing if he spent what Dalglish and Rodgers have spent at the club already.
Now, the same can apply to Ancelotti - he has a proven track record with very good squads and making them better. Him coming to Liverpool would be a massive rebuilding project which their not used to, and I think Klopp is the best candidate.
But as mentioned - we're in no position to be turning down world class managers.
And re. the WUM reference, I'm starting to think that you're blinded and rather naive to the serious situation this club is in.

How's that Mourinho "telling it as it is" opinion working out for you?

Please stop using this phrase Jimmy, like any other team there is a place where you want/would like to be, but need?
Why do you "need" to be somewhere that everyone else would like to be.
Small thing, but for some reason it really irks me![]()
What he said about Falcao's dive was total bs, he's a desperate man right now saying desperate things, but his stance on his position at the club is fair enough
He would get us a lot closer to where we need to be.

So it must have really done your head in when during the time since Fergie retired numerous players, ex+players and hacks have said "united need to get back where they belong"
And it was a well worn comment used in the 26years without a league title, it kinda goes with the territory at both clubs.![]()
Yep, it doesn't make any difference who says it.
All clubs (and supporters in particular) "want" to be at the top, but to say they "need" to be is just silly, if all clubs "needed" to be at the top then very few would exist![]()
How many times recently have we heard about "reliable sources" saying decisions will be made made after next weekend/next game or whatever?Quite a few reliable people have mentioned that FSG are ready to act after the Derby. So I'm in a good mood![]()
But he was right, if we don't have an appetite for what we feel we need as a club and where we need to be we might as well start following another sport.
Ok part of the problem was being there for so long and yearning for those days to return, its easier for supporters of clubs that have little or no success to accept mediocrity but just like Utd have done everything in their power to "get back to where they need to be" since Fergie went, well that's the feeling we have.
I'm not sure "unrequited" is the correct term here. I know billy used it first, but how can a club show its love for the fans?I genuinely don't know any reds that fits that M.O. Jimmy and anyone who does accept mediocrity isn't worth a carrot, the mediocrity comes from those at the club that have a chance to do what it takes to make us consistently successful again.
It was a sweeping comment tbf, we don't choose our owners, managers or players and we'll be here when the current batch have gone because as billy said we have an unrequited love for our club.
