Is captaining a word? It doesn't sound right. Captainizing sounds good though. "Liverpool have now Captainized Lucas"...quality.
captainingpresent participle of cap·tain Verb: Be the captain of (a ship, aircraft, or team). Yours does sound cooler though.
Speak for yourself, not EVERYONE thought like that. Some of us saw his ability and work ethic and felt that he could become a very good player. Some of us realised that Rafa was playing him in an unfamiliar role too PS - bit like Henderson at the minute
Ok ok, maybe was slightly overexagerating, but I don't thin many thought he'd turn into the player he was now. I think it's proof that players need time, especially young players who are coming into a new league. I think Henderson will become a good player. I said in a different thread he was overpriced but thats because of english tax which means another £7mil has to be added to real value. At the moment he is an energetic player who given a few years could become a real box to box CM.
Ahem, not everyone. From his first derby appearance, when he was subbed for Gerrard and almost got the winner until Neville handballed it on the line I was behind him. I saw progress season-on-season. He was rated by the players, too, but some fans just moaned about "backwards and sideways." He's a lesson for any fan criticising youngsters for not being the finished article by 22.
