Reknapps to old for the job that faces Rogers IMO. We needed a young manager, we got a young manager. If we hadnt of got Rogers, Levy would have been on the phone to Swansea first thing this morning.
imagine harry managing everton... that croat donkey would suddenly be world class and worth 60mil and baines would be played left wing to doneky 40 balls in aimlessly a game towards him and be worth 50mil.... then felliani would be called world class in midfield and he's stay up all night on transfer windows hoping the press stalk him and he'll do interviews in woodison out of his jeep window.... Everton would be cals under 'arry.
Just posted this elsewhere.... I've mentioned this previously, 'Arry and Martin O'Neill are impact managers, who tip up and cause an instant turn about in form, and are much loved for doing that. but what people tend to gloss over, is that the improvement tends to peter out after a while, as the players get use to their popular style, and the sheen wears off, and the status quo returns, and both managers then have the canny nack of moving on before total apathy sets in, therefore maintaining their reputations. They are very much like carnival stalls, you win a prize, you are delighted, you get it home, realise it's a bit naff, try to take it back, only to find the tents have all packed up and gone away. So hands down Rodger, Harry only knows how to buy past-their-sell-by donkeys with big names, and it is all smoke and mirrors to stimulate the talent that is already there. In 18 months he's off again, leaving you with an old squad on massive wages.
noble does have it bang on here. both o'neill and redknapp do seem to have a hsitroy of getting the most out of a group of players but always messing ti all up by buying poor players and letting things go.... with o'niell at sunderland the minute the players got 40 points they reverted to type and he failed to kick them into gear again. I was amazed that redknapp took saha and nelson on... amazed. All i know is i am waiting to see what we do with what we've got now, not worried by happy harry's karma filled last 6 months.
Never in my most fever-ridden dreams have I imagined Flash 'Arry at Liverpool. Some things just don't go together. Anyway, he'd never find his way up Norf.
Most certainly stick 'Arry wouldn't venture up North anyway. Also, looking at the Tottenham starting line-up, how many of the players has he introduced...? Van Der Vaart, Parker, Friedal and, for last season, Adebayor. That's not exactly a lot in four years is it? The likes of King, Corluka, Ekkotu, Huddlestone, Lennon, Bale, Modric and even Walker were already at the club, that suggests they already had the players in place to me
