On a side note, it was really good to hear from Lucas. Turned into a big favourite of mine, even more so since his injury, which just proved how good he is.

I know .. Hamsik will do .. Or I'll be happy to keep Suarez and have Suarez, Cavani and Neymar in a front three. We can of course dream
I feel really bad for Napoli. Play brilliant football, if they had gone through to play Barcelona it would have been one of the best games in recent history I think. Sadly, the most boring team of all time went through and now Napoli are starting to lose players. Equally Dortmund play fantastic football and dominate, to just lose their players also. Is a shame in all.
Yep, I think Napoli are great, definitely my favourite Italian side (and no, I don't remember Maradona that well). I think Barcelona would have ripped them apart though
Hamsik's a midfielder so would be alongside Lucas and Gerrard: Reina Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique Gerrard - Lucas - Hamsik Lavezzi - Neymar - Suarez Yep, we can ONLY dream...
Can;t say I agree, if they stuck to their guns in terms of discipline they have a pretty solid back 6 if you will with Inler, Gargano ( who I really rate as a DM), Maggio, Aronica, Cannovaro, Zuniga and occasionally our old boy in the team ( the chunky full back forgot his name). They would have had some nice pace to counter with as well. Would have been a good game I think.
With that team the media would critize us for having too much flair/too many foreigners/ lost the Liverpool way...... even if we won the lot!!!
The defence suddenly doesn't look so great with those forwards though. Ie - it become the weak area The media would be right though, both fullbacks are attacking plus one of the centre backs, it would leave us with just Skrtel and Lucas sitting back
I think their defense is good overall but got caught out a bit maybe thinking job was done enough heading back to the bridge. That was right in the middle of the Chelsea resurgence or whatever you want to call it so a bit unlucky there. Anyway, they still lost and are losing their best players which is a shame. Unless they come to us.
Can't see any of their players joining us, although Napoli aren't in the Champions League so who knows. We certainly won't be getting Lavezzi since he's already gone plus Hamsik and Cavani have their eyes on bigger things than us at the moment I like a lot of their other players too but I think most of them are getting on a bit now and wouldn't fit the FSG recruitment criteria
Inler would be superb, Gargano is getting a bit on but I rate him, Zuniga but we already have Johnson and Enrique but could he play higher up the pitch? Then after that it is the big boys who are looking for a bit better at the moment. Strange how the Italian league are in a similar boat to the prem in terms of good teams ( 1-7).
