Not you as well. Do you honestly think he's staying? He's gone. Compensation almost agreed. New manager hunt started. It's over. He's gone. Move one.
What? WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? All I hear is the media going Wah Wah Wah Wah Wah .... like an "adult" in a Charlie Brown flick.
He's Northern Irish. I live in Northern Ireland, and this is how the football support breaks down. 40% Liverpool 40% United 10% Chelsea 5% Arsenal/Everton/ 5% Only local teams No surprise he'd decide to make the step up. It's HUGELY Liverpool in particular in the Larne/Carrick area in which I live. The nearest university for example holds regular Liverpool training days for kids and recently awarded Kenny a degree. Gutted for you guys though. You've a fantastic set up and a solid team. Great fan support. You'll keep improving.
Some will still think BR's here even after we have a new manager. Sad, but true. In complete denial. Never sen anything like it. Well not since Take That split up and all the girls were crying and in denial at the same time.
What's the disappointing thing for me is that Brendan wasn't interested in the Liverpool hotseat two weeks ago so what has changed his mind to talk to Liverpool i just don't know.
He always had to publicly deny he wanted the job in case we ended up not choosing him. Otherwise he'd have been left stranded in no man's land. This is why we usually prefer to do all our business behind closed doors I suppose.
Bye bye Brendan, it was nice while it lasted. Next season we`ll see if you have a plan B, and if you are in charge of team affairs.
Still doesn't make sense Bongo. If I was Sig, before I signed a contract, I'd want to know exactly where BR was starting the season. There's no way to finesse this. BR is either going and Sig's got a decision to make, or he's staying and Sig signs as a no brainer. Silence internal to the club accomplishes nothing. The Club knows, Sig knows. Does anybody know the doctors that perform the physicals. Has Sig at least completed that part of the formality.
You must have misread my post, MAYbe going /gone . at the time of your posts nothing had been confirmed so to say it was obvious wasn't correct ,if he's gone so be it ,my concern is who will he decide to try to take with him ,managers come and go but decent players thats a totally different scenario. The club was here 98 years before he arrived and hopefully be here for as long for me and mine to continue supporting the club
I wonder why JackAsh hasn't close this thread as well. He thinks Brendan hasn't gone so new threads needed. Unbelievable. What a mod.
JackAsh - just let me know if you want me to leave and I'll never write another word on your forum. It's truly pathetic that you are closing threads because you're in denial. Grow up FFS.
Norwich fan in peace Feeling your angst, we may well be in the same boat as you soon. BBC reporting that Villa have made 'an approach' for Lambert. Personally, I can't see our man moving to the circus that is Aston Villa but I may be wrong. As for 'A Casual Fan', sounds like a bitter bluebird to me. Whatever happens, like us, you'll be playing Premier League football next season unlike the perverbial bottlers at Cardiff forever in the Swans shadow. At least that's how Cardiff appear to the rest of the Country ! Chins up boyos, say 'We Are Premier League'
Well guys, the club will indeed move on from this, that wont be the problem, the big problem is how you tell the likes of Joe Allen,Ash Williams,Sinclair,Dyer,DG etc that their future is brighter staying here ?? This is what is pissing me off big time, under rodgers they could bye into it, now they may as well look at offers elsewhere because their trusted manager has done the same !! im worried this will start the exodus. Brenden has shown his ambition, and shown a ruthless streak that bobby would be proud of, i got no complaints about rodgers really as we all knew it was bound to happen in the next year or 2 if things went well. The manner of his departure has damaged the possible transfer targets we were seeking and this will set us back many months, we cant throw money at things like other teams, im very dissapointed and a little bit hurt but understand that its Liverpool not Wigan !! How about Ian Hollaway or Zola ?? Hollaway is a student of the game and will fit seemlesly into our set-up. We have better players than when he first came up with Blackpool and he has proven he can operate at this level on a budget . He wont need to do so much work to the defence either if we make one or 2 shrewd defensive buys . Zola ? well for me he may be a bit of a check book manager, not sure how he is as a coach. He will be able to attract players though thats for sure !!
