depends on what the cost in comparison to keeping him and where we end up would be.

we end up bottom half the table, then no European football, potentially be a few clubs sniffing around some of our players etc etc. me as an owner would think **** that just get rid of this clown now and get someone in who can put this club back where it belongs at the top. 8.7 mill would be a small price to pay.
 
Yep. If i was owner id pay it too and hope the new guy gets us into CL. Thatd cover the cost of getting rid of boredom rodgers.
 
Just watched BR interview post match yesterday, he said "Good Character" once again. Is he taking the piss?

It'll cost them more if they don't. As I said pre season. If we're lower than sixth by Xmas he will go

He said at the end of the season, if the owners want him to go, he'll walk.
Now, how true we don't know and I doubt he'll forgo his pay off, but i'd imagine something is written into long term contracts that if they are sacked they only get X amount of cash.

We saw with Pardew and his 8 year contract it only cost Newcastle a fraction of that to get rid.
 
I'm not sure I agree.

If we keep losing games he will eventually go.

It will be drawn out like with Roy but he's not immortal and eventually the board will listen to the fans.
 
I hope they do. Although we are delighted a bit of luck surely.
The players we have signed are good. Just that they don't seem to be playing as a team yet.
If i can see that then why is the manager making them play the way they do.

I appreciate game plans get changed due to opposition team changing formations etc....but we should not buy players and never play to their strengths.
 
If you could get Klopp, then it would be pretty stupid not to sack Rodgers now, Klopp has often spoke about his admiration for Liverpool and he seems like the perfect fit. Problem is if you wait too long, then the likes of Real Madrid and maybe even Chelsea will move in and get Klopp before you get the chance.

How long a contract did Brod sign? It was announced that he'd signed a new "long term" deal on 24 May 2014. What would long term be? Five years?

If so, he's sixteen months into that deal. A payoff of £8.7m over the remaining 46 months would mean he's on about £44k per week :huh:

He's contraced until 2018, so it was a 4 year deal.
