I can`t believe he(rodgers) his even thinking about leaving Swansea to go to spurs your going great guns in the league and have some great players as well with a massive fan base but if harry redknapp gets the so called top job then the pull of the big bucks will be the deciding factor as it always is

Valley, what a great post. The club isnt about one man. Should he go, good luck, but I doubt he will.

Personally I think Rogers is starting to believe his own Press and should remember that the Swans picked him up off the scrapheap. Talking about moves is unsettling for everyone and players won't sign new contracts if they think he will leave. In football terms, after two successive defeats he is only 4 defeats away from a sacking!

I don't think Rogers will leave you this summer, he's a good manager but seems very grounded. He may move on eventually but I think he will stay with you regardless of offers for at least another season.

While I'm here it's been brilliant watching you play this season and I don't think you will be found out next season but go on to get even higher up the league.

FFS give the guy a break - give him a little credit for what he's done for us this season - if he moves on (I don't think he will btw) then he has left us in better shape than when he got here! 4 defeats away from a sacking!!!! Get a life!!! He has handled all the rumours diplomatically and has said that he is committed to SCFC - if he go's then good luck to him, but he aint said it yet - so get behind our manager - we didn't pick him up off the scrapheap - we are lucky to have him - however long that may be - so support him in what he is trying to do here - believing his own press?!!! You are disrespecting a decent and succesful manager - he's still with us so support him with all you've got!

i think he will go if harry takes the England job and i wont blame him personally as anyone of us would take a higher job with better wages and certainties for European football,....but thats football and we move on with whoever next....its what the swans has been all about for years....

Can you tell me where we got him from then??? He was on the dole and the Swans took a chance on him.

I do respect Rogers, he has improved the Club just like the four managers before him, but the last fortnight he has allowed uncertainty to creep in to the Club and that is never a good thing. As regards "6 defeats away from a sacking" that is an old football saying because that is how quickly things change (we have had 2 successive defeats already). It was said tongue in cheek because as long as we stay in the Premiership then his job is guaranteed.

The departure of our last two managers has shown that most managers are only out to pursue their own careers and Rogers is no different in that respect, so I certainly don't believe in putting him on a pedastal - because there is only one way to go from there.

Who appointed Rogers? The Board. These are the people who have taken the Club forward over the last 10 years and long may it continue.

I agree we fans may not know whats going on and to be honest I'd only expect to be informed when the club decides the timing is right.Teams and clubs are constantly evolving , have a look at the starting 11 at the beginning of the season to where it is now changes have happened mongers come and go thats the nature of the beast.
strange statement that , we club supporters do just that , support the club , would they have the same feelings when Nick Cusack was in charge for example ,if the fans aren't happy because an individual leaves (and that is what he is , collectively we are a club) then tough.

If we were offered 4 to 5 million for Rodgers , I'd be tempted to try to talk Rodgers into going , if he was pondering the thought . Nothing against Buck at all , but I love the money these situations bring . Any good manager is 4 or 5 games away from losing most of the value that he's made of himself & there are a lot of rich clubs willing to risk the money . Hope he stays but in the long run , I'll put my money on the people bringing the managers in !

That's a very interesting point ... and I think I agree. Despite all of the challenges and potential land mines along the way, we've ended up in a pretty good place.

That applies to harry Rednapp as well. He was the best thing since sliced bread 2 months ago then Spurs went on a poor run. All this speculation has been caused by the media and they have appointed 'Arry as the next England boss.

The English FA tend to go for the safe option rather than wild cannons and it wouldn't surprise me if they went for a different manager.

We are a hundred years old and have seen many managers come and go and it will carry on to infinity, and we will survive ,and we will always support the club and the next manager. And as its out of our hands and pure conjecture lets just support our current manager and enjoy thr good times, and if he does move on ,we thank him and wish him well and welcome the next manager, but right now he's with us and that will do for me..But we as a club WILL survive regardless we're good at it

Rodgers may leave even if Redknapp doesn't leave Spurs. Rodgers is 40-1 to be next England manager. LOL.

<laugh> i doubt it very much unless we have some variation in the way we play. we have been found out and teams now find it so easy to play against us without much work to do....<ok>

"so easy to play against us without much work to do."

Bollocks. How do you know that? You weren't even at the game yesterday. It's actually very hard to play against us. Ask Gareth Bale who said after the Tottenham game that it was the hardest he'd had to work in a long while. You have clearly never played the game and understand very little about it.

'Swans number one fan?' More like 'Number one numpty'.

    Oh, almost forgot....<ok>
