  2. We have a bad spell around January / February every season under Rafa. Man Utd also went on a nine game 1-0 winning streak too <doh>

Mweh, I think we give Fergie credit where it isn't due there. Rafa was wound too tight but was cocky in believing his team had more steal than it actually did and the pressure he added with that nonsense was the final straw.

But done is done. Doubt we'll be in the same situation points wise this year to blow anything. Every single point will have to be bled for or even Europe quickly disappears for a club!

  5. If that sort of pressure results in 28pts from a possible 30pts then I'm all for it <ok>

Ahh,get you now G, last ten matches, yeah 16 from 30 ten pl matches directly after the rant if ppointing to the where league was lost that year. But hindsight is hindsight.

My argument was that the mind games crap or rant wasn't what lost us the league. It was a lack of steal in that team to sustain an entire campaign. The rant didn't help.

    But old ground,

My real point is I think, with a team inexperienced in winning titles like ours I'd rather it was tight all the way to the end to keep focused rather than have momentum build and break as it did that year. A team that's won one already can recover in time, I argue that ours couldn't and didn't recover in time.

  8. Injuries didn't help, Gerrard and Torres (our two man team <whistle) were missing for a lot of that season.

All teams have a bad spell, this is where the experience counts in minimising the impact.

I have the feeling that when things are going well Rodgers tend to get really excited ( nothing wrong by itself) . But he has to control himself. The problems at Cardiff are nothing to do with him. The last thing we want to do is some distraction with some other clubs problems. The Cardiff owner could quite rightly tell him to shut up as what happening there is not his business.

Let's keep our focus. We are in a good position and we should not let anything jeopardize that.
